`When I See the Blood

When God instructed Moses to have the children of Israel to apply the blood on the doorpost and lintle of their house I wonder if he knew the significance? Life is in the blood. The death angel was going to pass through Egypt that night and those that had the blood applied to their house was going to live. When the angel passed over there was a seperation take place. Those that had the blood applied lived and those that didn't their firsrtborn died.
The blood covenant goes all the way back to Abraham. When God asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac, because of Abraham's obedience there was a ram caught in the thicket. That ram symbolized Jesus our passover lamb. (John 3:16)
