Women and Work

Emily Pfeiffer (1827-1890) was a British poet, writer and feminist. This volume, first published in 1888, contains Pfeiffer's analysis of contemporary social attitudes towards higher education and professional employment for women, in which she describes and provides evidence to refute medical opinions warning of danger to women's reproductive heath.
