"YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE" is the sequel to "SICILY ON MY MIND" published in July of 2003.
Both books summarize the essence of the author's life: The turbulent beginnings in Sicily, the generous American welcome and the continuing journey into the heart of America.
In addition, the author endeavors to show the dissimilarities of the two worlds in which he lived, pertaining to life's priorities, human values and spiritual convictions.
It is evident, throughout the book, that the author owes a debt of gratitude to America, the land that made it possible for him to realize his life's dream.
Finally, the author expresses his belief that present America is in urgent need of an effective leadership as well as a spiritual rebirth, to secure her God-given destiny.
