A History of Ikorodu and Environs in the Twentieth Century

The book reconstructs the history of Ikorodu township and its environs in the course of the twentieth century. It traces the origin of the town and the major neighbouring communities that have been coalesced to form the present-day Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria. It historicised the trajectory of socio-economic change and development in the areas during the colonial period. It further concentrates on the political and socio-economic change and continuity in the areas during the post-colonial period up to 1999.
