Die neuen Veränderungen in der grundlegenden Sekundarbildung verlangen von den Schülern eine umfassende Allgemeinbildung sowie das Lehren und Lernen von Mathematik bei der Lösung von Problemen im Zusammenhang mit dem praktischen Leben. Die Art und Weise, wie dies entwickelt wird, ist jedoch unzureichend, da sie noch immer mathematische Probleme lösen müssen, was durch die niedrigen Ergebnisse in diesem kognitiven Bereich in der siebten Klasse bestätigt wird, die sich in folgenden Punkten zeigen: Einschränkungen bei der Interpretation der gegebenen Situation, Unzulänglichkeiten bei der Bestimmung des Gegebenen und des Gesuchten bei der Suche nach der Lösung und dem Lösen des Problems.
