Essay from the year 2024 in the subject Politics - Region: Africa, , language: English, abstract: This study examined like the river carves a stone, a case study of State Governors refusal to pay counterpart fund for basic education in Nigeria. The study adopted an ex-port facto research design because it looked at past activities of the State Governors and relate them to the existing situation of basic education in Nigeria. A total of 66 participants who have adequate knowledge of government policies and implementations were employed for the study. A questionnaire was used as an instrument of data collection which was centered on issues of basic education funding in Nigeria. Expert validity and reliability analyses were done using content validity and split-half-reliability text techniques. The collated data were analyzed by percentage frequency distribution, means scores, and chi-square. The findings of this study highlight possible measures that seem to encourage the 36 States of Nigeria on adequate measures for funding basic education in Nigeria.

It explored the historical and philosophical perspectives of TVET in the Republic of China and Nigeria. The paper digs into the administrative structures, student enrolment, teacher qualification, special skills training programs, and curriculum as well as TVET teachers and student¿s motivation in the Republic of China and the Republic of Nigeria. The similarities and variations of the two countries' TVET systems were also examined. The paper therefore proposed a closer tier that would strengthen the economic and industrial relationship of both countries and assist young Nigerians with practical knowledge and salable skills to transform assumptions into creative, valuable, and tangible ideas for commercial purposes.

Case Study from the year 2023 in the subject Pedagogy - School Pedagogics, , language: English, abstract: This study explored suspending classes without suspending learning, a case study on the impact of blended learning in secondary schools. The survey research approach was applied to seek the views and opinions of 20 senior secondary school teachers and 80 senior secondary school III students in Edo State, Nigeria. The questionnaire was used as an instrument for data collection which was subjected to construct validity by three experts. The degree of trustworthiness was determined using Cronbach¿s alpha reliability techniques and a reliability value of .80 was obtained. The collected data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and z-test statistics.The result shows a significant difference in the responses of teachers and students regarding teachers¿ preparedness to adopt blended learning in secondary schools in Edo State, Nigeria. In addition, the teachers and students adequately defined and measured technology-enhanced blended learning as an instructional strategy that increases and promotes students' academic knowledge and performance in school subjects. Based on these study findings, one could logically conclude that perhaps as students' performance in the senior secondary school external examination continues to leap, the need to examine the challenges and solutions will continue to linger among experts, stakeholders, and concerned citizens. This is because the findings of this study highlighted quality measures that seem to relate to effective teaching and learning in schools in order to reduce the achievement gap among secondary school students in Nigeria.
