Biological Evaluation of 5,6- benzothiazole Based Derivatives

The heterocyclic class of bicyclic chemicals includes benzothiazole. This derivative has a wide range of biological effects, including those that are anti-cancer, anti-convulsant, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antibacterial, anti-proliferative, anti-diabetic, analgesic, antiviral, anti-tubercular, antimalarial, antioxidant, anti-histaminic, anti-leishmanial, and anti-fungal. The metalloenzyme carbonic anhydrase was significantly inhibited by the benzothiazole scaffolds.
