Côte d'Ivoire: from autocracy to a multiparty system without democracy

Côte d'Ivoire is hit by a severe drought. Nature is no longer at all lenient with this country which is going through a bad patch. Forests and peasant fields are devastated by fires. The financial resources of the State drop considerably. President Houphouët-Boigny accuses Westerners of wanting to asphyxiate the country. But the people of Côte d'Ivoire want to end such a long reign....
