On the basis of quantitative and qualitative research, it brings findings on the level of critical thinking among students of teaching and their ability to design individualized and differentiated teaching.The research was conducted in three stages. In the first stage, the level of critical thinking of future teachers was tested. The second stage of the research was focused on an analysis of written preparations for teaching in relation to the created standards of application of individualized and differentiated teaching. The third stage of the research had the character of a questionnaire survey of opinions and was focused on identifying concerns that students feel regarding related pedagogical practice.
