Emerging Horizons: The Unfolding Legalization of LGBTI in Africa

This book centres on the perspectives of Ghanaian tertiary-level students concerning potential anti-LGBTI legislation. The findings emphasise that a substantial majority of these students express support for such legislative measures. Their endorsement is rooted in considerations of health, cultural values, and religious convictions. Additionally, the study accentuates the prevalence of health-related viewpoints regarding LGBTI individuals that lack empirical foundation. This preprint notably highlights the crucial role of informed education in countering scientifically unsubstantiated perceptions to enhance the cultivation of more informed public opinions on matters related to LGBTI issues in Africa.
