Lasers have been used in dentistry for diagnosis and therapeutic purposes for more than 30 years, and are an indisputable in any modern dental surgery. The use of lasers enables new treatment methods to be employed in order to meaningfully supplement traditional therapies. The purpose is to overview the use of lasers as use widely. Objective: The aim of this review is to summarize the role of lasers in different oral and maxillofacial diseases by review of literatures. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a vast branch of dentistry which includes procedures ranging from simple extraction to pathologies of both hard and soft-tissues. Based on extensive review of literature, certain conclusion can be made regarding the use of lasers. Material and methods: A search for literature on the effect of laser treatment in various oral conditions was done. A comprehensive search to identify all relevant studies, within the parameters of the study being a PubMed indexed review, published in English between till 2015 was undertaken. A wide range of databases and other sources for the identification of relevant studies were explored.

The present study is undertaken to note the origin, course, branching pattern and variations of the brachial artery and related measurements in human cadavers.

Spectroscopic study of classical Be (Be) stars is important to better understand their disc physics. Recently, Banerjee et al. (2021) produced an atlas of all major emission lines found in a large sample of over 100 field Be stars using the 2-m Himalayan Chandra Telescope facility of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) located at Ladakh, India. This study revealed several important aspects of Be star discs, such as the importance of considering the extinction parameter (AV) for studying Be star properties, their discs are generally optically thick in nature, probable existence of non-isothermal discs in some such stars which might be responsible for the production of Ca II triplet emission lines, etc. In another separate study (Banerjee et al. 2022), we focused in understanding the disc transient nature of Be stars through continuous monitoring of their H¿ line profile variations for 5 consecutive years using the 1-m telescope facility at the Vainu Bappu Observatory, Kavalur, India operated by IIA. Our work thus opens a broad scope to perform further dedicated studies of Be stars using larger samples to better understand their disc properties.

This explores the potential discovery of petroleum hydrocarbons in sedimentary rocks or magmatic hydrothermal formations, involving a probability factor. A mathematical modeling approach is employed to assess petroleum hydrocarbons, considering specific elements, minerals, and rocks, determining whether they are of biogenic or abiogenic origin. Utilizing set notation and matrix approach to analyze these elements, three possibilities were formulated to trace the origin of petroleum hydrocarbons: sedimentary origin (biogenic), igneous origin (biogenic), or igneous origin (abiogenic). Mathematically, these possibilities include SiAl (Silicon and Aluminum), TiTi (Tin and Titanium), and NiVa (Nickel and Vanadium). Another significant aspect is the potential presence of Diamond within an igneous body, indicative of mantle composition. The ability of this abiogenic oil to rotate the plane of polarization of polarized light was examined and proven possible through mathematical methods.

In India, there has been a notable struggle between the population growth and the wildlife. Injuries, fatalities, destruction of human habitation, crop devastation, and human property damage are only a few of the serious effects. Temporary measures to safeguard the habitat, such as electric fences, trenches, manual surveillance, guard dogs, etc., are used, but they are not cost-effective and have been shown to be harmful for both humans and wildlife. Some sort of mitigation strategy is needed to address this problem in a way that ensures the safety of both wild animals and people. While there are many IoT-based solutions for animal surveillance and deterrence on the market, adding a little artificial intelligence can increase their dependability and effectiveness. The barriers that revolve around this problem will undoubtedly be pushed forward by using IoT alone. By developing an automated system that detects the intrusion of wild animals and repels them back to the forest without doing any harm, the proposed system aims to protect human habitation and livestock at the periphery of the forest area or fields.

Bundelkhand region of India is spread over about 69,000 sq. km. of land in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. This region is rain fed and drought conditions are frequent due to extremes of temperatures, reaching the mid to upper 40oc during the summer months and dropping as low as 1oc in winter. It is a hot and semi-humid region and its fragile geophysical condition is significantly sensitive to climate change. Agriculture is the main source of livelihood of this region and Black gram, Green gram, Pigeon pea, Sesame, Soybean, Groundnut, Chickpea, Mustard, Linseed are the main pulses and oil seed crops of this region. Various type of fungal, bacterial, viral, and phytoplasmal diseases were noticed in pulses and oilseeds crops. Total 24 diseases of oilseeds and pulses crops incited by 22 plant pathogens were recorded. Out of 22 pathogens, 17 plant pathogens belonging to fungi, two fungi like organism, 1 phytoplasma, 1 bacterium and 1 plant virus were also found associated with the foliar parts of oilseeds and pulses crops. It is evident from the results that mustard, mungbean and urdbean crops are most susceptible to 12 foliar plant pathogens in Bundelkhand of Uttar Pradesh, India.

Orthopedic maxillary expansion in adults opens a variety of nonsurgical/non-extraction treatment options in severe dentofacial and skeletal discrepancies. Maxillary transverse deficiency usually requires expansion by a combination of orthopedic and orthodontic tooth movements. In adults, different treatment modalities are used today such as Rapid maxillary expansion, SARME, MARPE, MSE, etc. The objective of this study is to review maxillary expansion in adults by different modalities and a brief on commonly used appliances.
