What does Marxism say about the relationship between the bourgeois state and the class struggle? This is the question that guides this work. It is on this basis that the reflections of those who founded the so-called Marxist tradition, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, are retrieved. The theoretical-practical extensions promoted by Vladimir Lenin, Antonio Gramsci and Nicos Poulantzas are also emphasised. An examination of the works of these theorists reveals a complex and radically critical response to this question. Complex because they all mobilise different concepts to establish the parameters that are essential to a dialectical and concrete understanding of this relationship. And radically critical because they are reflections that shed light on the historical and contradictory aspects concealed by bourgeois ideology, especially on the general interests pursued by the state.

The fundamental aim of this research is to describe the propensity of elderly people to adopt technology, in relation to their perception of digital inclusion. Various theoretical approaches have sought to explain the process of acceptance and adoption of technologies by individuals. These include the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Technology Readiness Index (TRI), the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and a recent approach, the Technology Adoption Propensity Index (TAPI), which contributes to analysing the empirical evidence in this study. The descriptive-qualitative field research used 16 interviews with elderly people aged between 61 and 76, whose content analysis with a priori and a posteriori categorisation was carried out in an effort to triangulate researchers. The results made it possible to conclude that the propensity to adopt ICTs includes inhibiting factors - dependence, vulnerability and perception of inadequacy - to a slightly greater extent than contributing factors - optimism, proficiency and perception of need. However, the elderly perceive themselves to be digitally included today.

The basic premise of the offence of abuse of trust consists of the disposition by the active subject for himself or for another, of a movable thing belonging to another, of which the possession and not the dominion has been transferred to him, to the detriment of the passive subject. The musical literacy of a society is the product of a profound, programmed and long-lasting musical education. The great musical geniuses of the countries of Northern and Eastern Europe are not a fortuitous and isolated event, but are the result of previous work from school, in a compulsory and continuous way, and the product of centuries of musical culture. I believe that research work in music education is necessary in order to promote literacy. The present work is based on the implicit conceptions about the value of music assumed by the majority of the population and which have led to failures, abandonment and frustrations of both amateurs and students. The work attempts to highlight the situation of Music Education in Spain and proposes a programme as an alternative to the system currently in place. A bibliographical review has been carried out showing the empirical evidence of some of the latest discoveries in neuroscience, data on the history of Music Education in Spain, current legislation and study plans of some of the most representative countries.

Considering that the family is the main pillar of society, where the citizen's main personal relationships begin, which will project them into coexistence with others, it needs to be preserved even if conflicts arise. With this in mind, this paper offers an alternative that aims to minimise wear and tear during the process of resolving conflicts of a family nature, so that the after-effects are not capable of damaging relationships in any way. Mediation, in addition to minimising the impact of conflicts, can help to restructure what has been damaged, providing more autonomy and direct participation in resolving family disputes, as well as saving money for the courts, since the process is shorter and requires fewer collaborators to process.

As a result of the constant technological changes and the factor of globalisation, when carrying out the organisational analysis of Colegio Bachillerato Patria in its training processes, we can observe that we continue to use traditional pedagogical models where the use of new technologies is very low, which are indispensable in knowledge. Therefore, it is relevant to change the mentality of the teacher in the educational processes; change of methodology and the use of ICT resources.

Humanity's relationship with drugs dates back to the dawn of civilisation, but despite its longevity, in recent centuries this relationship (man-drugs) has proved to be a public health issue. The book takes a look at the history of health in Brazil until we reach the point where the Family Health Strategy was formulated. It also discusses the incorporation of primary care into the agenda, the demands arising from the harmful/dependent use of alcohol and other drugs and the production of care in these spaces. In this book, Maria Auxiliadora Barbosa Ferreira presents a study on the use of natural resources by traditional populations, with an emphasis on the use of medicinal plants, considering the ecological, economic, pedagogical and organizational aspects. She discusses the importance of organization as a fundamental role in community development, especially in meeting the needs for social goods and services. It highlights the mechanisms used by the community, such as the expansion of the community garden for the production of medicinal plants, with more than a thousand seedlings and more than sixty-nine plant species, and a Community Pharmacy that meets health needs. It presents a proposal for implementing state and municipal policies on medicinal plants and phytotherapics that legitimize innovative experiences and mainly meet the health needs of rural communities such as Ebenezer in Maues/AM, producing the following results: valuing and incorporating traditional knowledge and culture into local economic and social dynamics, promoting social, educational and economic benefits in the field of health, the environment and sustainable development.

The technosphere became a driving force in the development of its economy when waste generation began to limit investments and purchasing power of the population. Safe development of the waste economy today affects not only the scientific and technological discoveries taking place in it, but also the changes in the sustainability of social relations of the existence of technological society. This interdisciplinary review of waste problem research is recommended for use in assessing the safety of business projects in the technosphere.

This book seeks through an analysis and jurisprudential evolution to shield the concept called CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION, as it is an eminently human - fundamental right which can be accessed if the formal requirements are met and if the reality allows it to be evidenced, preceding any event, a peaceful refusal to fulfil a normative and therefore legal duty, for reasons inherent to the thought, religion or belief. Conscientious objection is linked to the right to privacy and freedom, hence, it should be given the same treatment, in addition to the presumption of good faith of the one who promotes it, because from the formal point of view, it is established that as a general rule, the compulsory nature of military service prevails over ideas, opinions, thoughts and intimate beliefs, and the authenticity of the objection must be demonstrated, since some people certainly seek excuses not to perform their military service.

The moments of rapprochement and distancing that arise on some of the artistic frontiers, specifically between theatre and cinema, are the starting point for this book, whose main theme is cinematographic projections, in film or video, inserted into theatre shows. From the different national and international groups that use these procedures, we present a history of audiovisual projections on the world theatre scene and on the Brazilian scene. Through a selection of actions carried out by the Teatro Oficina group, two plays directed by José Celso Martinez Correa [Zé Celso] are exemplified: Os Bandidos (2008) and Estrela Brazyleira a Vagar - Cacilda! (2009 e 2010). When we searched the Teatro Oficina Uzyna Uzona for examples of theatre works that use audiovisual projections to create sets, lighting and narratives in Brazilian theatre, we found many references to contemporaneity and the convergence of media, with expanded cinema, virtual scenery, subtitling, videomapping, graphics, vjing and live cinema being some of the scenic resources used in these works.

Nowadays, managers, faced with the demand for transparent management, can support their decisions with sophisticated technologies and methodologies; however, competitiveness indicators in organizations reveal: lack of external coordination and internal misalignment between strategy and action. In this scenario, the question arises: what influence does governance have on competitiveness, coordination and alignment? In response, the book develops four tools to investigate the impact of governance on organizational processes. The Systemic Competitiveness Dashboard, the Organizational Learning Tetralogical Game, the Emerging Organizational Dynamics Approach, and the Critical-Comprehensive Approach to University Ethicality are instruments that contribute to the diagnosis, analysis, planning, and dynamic reading of organizations.

Special attention is paid to evaluation in the teaching-learning process in the training of students as teachers, due to the importance it has in the development of citizens. Psychological, pedagogical, didactic and curricular foundations are systematized, highlighting their interrelation for the development of professional pedagogical competencies in the different years of the Pedagogy Career and its consequent evaluation, so that it promotes the learning of the content of the disciplines they receive and with to be successful in pedagogical practice, by directing the teaching-learning process and seeking various solutions to professional problems. This work is a study of the General Environmental Law of Colombia-Law 99 of 1993 from an ius-philosophical perspective, focused on the currents of iusnaturalism, positivism and post-positivism, but mainly on the latter; in order to respond to the problem arising from the legal and moral responsibilities, contained in Article 8 of the Political Constitution of Colombia; where it is evident that the Law lacks effectiveness in terms of its execution, since it does not have an accurate mechanism that fully complies with its ultimate purpose. Taking as a notorious fact that human beings, in carrying out their economic and cultural activities, have had a negative impact on the environment, causing several species to disappear and others to be on the verge of extinction (Andrade, 1992). The legal-political challenges of the Colombian Government to face these environmental problems are analyzed, as well as the legal tools currently available and whether they are sufficient.

For intelligence scholars, a good result in the intelligence quotient predicts success in school subjects but does not predict personal improvement in the future; and to achieve this success must be complemented with an adequate management of emotional intelligence to overcome problems in everyday life. In 1996, UNESCO stated that the teaching of feelings and emotions is a necessary supplement for the development of knowledge and an instrument for prevention, and proposes four pillars for the foundation of education: "learning to know", "learning to do", "learning to live together" and "learning to be". It is the last two pillars that support our work; "learning to live together" implies a daily interrelationship between students and teachers in the primary role of fostering an affective classroom climate of peaceful coexistence and cooperation in learning; and "learning to be" leads us down the path of emotional intelligence that will give us the tools for personal development and mastery of our feelings and emotions. The research consists of eight chapters in sequential form.

Heart failure is the final outcome of most cardiovascular pathologies. It is associated with high mortality, especially in patients with other comorbidities such as dysthyroidism. The aim of this study was to assess thyroid function in patients with chronic heart failure, using a cross-sectional analysis. All consenting adults with heart failure were included. At the end of the study, we found that in patients with chronic heart failure, low T3 syndrome is the most common thyroid abnormality, and is associated with a more severe clinical presentation.

Breathing is a physiological process that is fundamental to life. The respiratory system can be likened to a vital pump allowing the exchange of gases between the cells of an organism and the external environment. A number of phases make up the respiratory process, such as ventilation and circulation. Ventilation consists of the movement of gases in and out of the lungs and circulation carries out the transportation of these gases to the tissues. Invasive mechanical ventilation is a therapeutic procedure that temporarily aids respiratory function, either partially or completely. When successful, it results in alveolar ventilation, gas exchange and an acceptable acid-base balance. However, we know that inappropriate use of tidal volumes can lead to changes in lung function and gasometric values. In view of this, the aim of this study was to assess the anatomy and pathophysiology of patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as to identify the most common gasometric disorders in a hospital ICU.

Cervical cancer is the most common type of cancer caused by HPV. This cancer is characterized by the abnormal growth of cells in the cervix. There are more than 150 types of HPV, 40 of which can infect the ano-genital tract. And 13 are considered oncogenic, with types 16 and 18 being the most prevalent in cases of cervical cancer. This book covers various aspects of the subject, such as: epidemiological aspects of the disease in Brazil and worldwide, and various aspects of the disease, such as: contagion, infection, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The chapters were written by a team of health professionals (biomedical doctors, physiotherapists and nurses). It is hoped that this publication will help to clarify the issue of cervical cancer.

Brucellosis is a zoonosis of worldwide importance. In animals it is known as infectious abortion, contagious abortion, epizootic abortion and Bang's disease in cattle. In humans it is known as Melitococcosis, undulant fever, Malta fever, Mediterranean fever. In the present work, the antibodies formed against Brucella abortus in cattle were determined, as an effect of the inoculation of two types of vaccines, Strain RB51 and CEPA19, to dairy cattle from the High Valley and Central Valley. The antibodies were detected by means of two laboratory techniques of different principle: ELISA and Fluorescence Polarization Assay (FPA).60 blood samples were taken at random from animals that received vaccine 21days in advance, the samples taken were distributed as follows: 15 calves, 15 heifers, 15 heifers and 15 adult cows. All samples were assayed, in parallel, by means of the two techniques indicated, Fluorescence Polarization Test and competitive ELISA.

I emphasize the importance of knowing the origins of the concept of Dissociation in Pierre Janet's perspective, given its current applications in the study and treatment of trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, among other similar topics. The main objective of this review is to explain, from Janet's view, the concept of Dissociation in relation to: "Fixed Ideas"; "Narrowing of the Field of Consciousness" and "Weakness of Mental Synthesis". I describe the Functional Neurological Symptoms and Amnesias, denominated in her time as Hysteria, from where the concept of Dissociation arises in part, describing the diagnosis of the Hysterical symptom as opposed to the organic symptom. I try to condense what is referred to in the following definition: "Dissociation is the loss of synthesis and association of the psychological functions, which move away from the Consciousness and are relegated to the Subconscious, situations that occur due to an Emotional State or spontaneously, this allows to move away from the Consciousness that State, which is represented in various symptoms".

In Chad, recurrent and persistent political violence creates inequalities that obstruct the paths essential to food security. Succession to power is only possible through the use of violence, the application of public laws is marked by the abuse of force and coercion, and injustice and corruption undermine the possibilities of survival. The term "political stress" refers to all those acts of human nature that undermine livelihoods, capture resources and hamper food security management and risk prevention strategies. In the Guéra region, in addition to climatic hazards, political stress remains a perpetual threat to food security because it exposes households to uncertainty and insecurity by absorbing their production, management and planning potential. Life could be better with access to drinking water, health, education and equitable justice.

The identification of the dietary patterns of the inhabitants of the Canton "El Tambo" Cañar will allow us to obtain both qualitative and quantitative knowledge of food consumption, which becomes a fundamental requirement for the planning of any action aimed at improving the individual or collective food situation. Considering theoretical content from Gilles Lipovetsky and Jean Serroy (2001), Peter Burke (2006), Maurice Halbwachs (2004), Nestor Garcia Canclini (2013) and Mario Vargas Llosa (2012), the research topic covers studies on memory, culture, globalization and cultural hybridity, in order to debate whether the media and design can contribute to the preservation of an intangible heritage of a regional culture, specifically the "redendê" embroidery technique. The research is based on the "Fusions and Insertions" project, developed by the Institute for Research in Technology and Innovation (IPTI) in 2014, which invited designers Fernando and Humberto Campana to interact with embroiderers from Entremontes (Alagoas), who preserve their centuries-old "redendê" embroidery technique. The Campana brothers' design proposal was to innovate the "redendê" embroidery and create a new functionality for the final product. They then created lamps that they called "Illuminated Portraits", because the faces of the embroiderers themselves were embroidered on them. These lamps were exhibited in Rio de Janeiro during the 2016 Olympics, and in Milan during the world's largest furniture fair, Salone dei Mobile, in 2017.

This scientific methodological study is specifically, but not exclusively, addressed to conservator-restorers of cultural heritage who wish to gather, in a single manual, the terms related to chromatic reintegration described by internationally renowned authors such as C. Brandi, A. Villarquide, M.J. Martínez, A. Calvo, U. Baldini... and completed with interviews with conservator-restorers who are currently working in the field. After this first part of the compilation, a methodological proposal is added, whose main objective is the classification and definition of terms related to chromatic reintegration, based on what has been collected by the above-mentioned authors and the interviews carried out. A starting point towards the international unification of the nomenclature of our beloved chromatic reintegration.
