The world is divided into two major groups: the developed North and the developing South. The first is made up of organizations whose use of new management procedures dictated by Big Data is current, while the south includes organizations that are for the most part lagging considerably behind in terms of technology, and are therefore seeking to improve their management procedures in order to meet this challenge.With this in mind, the aim of this research is to provide ways and means for public and private organizations in developing countries, given their minimal revenues, to couple their traditional Management Information Systems with Big Data tools in order not only to modernize their management, but also to catch up with organizations in developed and emerging countries and ultimately continue their technological development.

This research addresses the theme of Restorative Justice, by first analyzing the aspects linked to the modern penal system, the theories justifying punishment and the moment of instability in which this system is living. (...) Next, a panorama of the transition between the crisis of the retributive system and the attempt to build a new paradigm, which is Restorative Justice, is presented, emphasizing the developments that make this model a new way of doing justice. Afterwards, some of the most relevant restorative practices today are explained, opening up space to comment on experiences in Brazil. Child and Youth Justice is also discussed as a privileged space for incorporating the restorative idea. Finally, through a systematic bibliographical review, the aim is to recognize Restorative Justice as a real possibility capable of making the principles of justice and democracy effective in the context of conflict resolution through the law, and also to promote a resignification of contemporary legal thinking.

The general objective of the present text is to describe the alterations at the neurostructural, neurofunctional and neuropsychological levels in children with a history of maternal diabetes (gestational or pregestational), children and adults with type 1 diabetes, and adolescents, adults and older adults with type 2 diabetes. In addition, it seeks to address the relationship that has been found between diabetes and different types of dementia.

The objective of this research was to analyze the application of phytostabilization techniques in lead-contaminated soil with a potential plant species planted in twelve different percentages of jal to evaluate lead retention in roots. The first study consisted of the evaluation of plant emergence by seeds of Atriplex canescens Pursh, Nutt. The second study evaluated the growth behavior of Atriplex canescens Pursh, Nutt. over time from planting in mining tailings for the comparative phytostabilizing analysis of the plant in soil contaminated by mining tailings from the characterization of substrates, finding average values of lead concentration levels in roots. The scope of this work was carried out under greenhouse conditions to demonstrate that the Atriplex canescens Pursh, Nutt. plant has properties to retain lead in roots, which is why this proposal can be selected for the phytostabilization of contaminated soils for the immobilization of this metal.

Different authors have addressed, for centuries, the use of the healing and spiritual properties of plants and minerals, but these had never been integrated into the basic principles of dowsing and radionics, so this work presents the union of this knowledge. This allows the use of these energies at a distance, in a simple, safe and effective way. Radionic Herbalism as a technique responds to the need to generate distance healing strategies, in view of the new world reality.

Extractivist work in the Amazon has represented and continues to represent, over time, its condition of insertion into the great economic circles, not only of the internal interfaces of the economic question, but mainly of the phases of accumulation of primitive capital for its global actions of the great European metropolises, during the period of feudal-capitalist transition. The proposed study aims to bring reflections that surrounded all these stages, in the midst of the Amazon context and through the interfaces verified in the 16th - 20th centuries, reflecting mainly the importance of açaí, through the circles and archetypes of production in the Amazon region in the local market; in the city of Belém in the state of Pará.

The Popular Fronts are government proposals that are the product of alliances of social classes, in which bourgeois parties participate together with parties of working class origin, in which the latter are in the majority. The model arose in Europe as a result of the advance of fascist right-wing forces that had electoral successes. They are put into practice in Europe and Latin America. In Panama, a very simple and insipient attempt arose through the Socialist Party led by Demetrio Porras. Together with groups of workers and peasants, they formed an alliance with bourgeois liberal parties and made themselves felt in the political struggle in Panama. They succeeded in enthusing many socially and economically marginalised sectors in their aspirations for a less unequal society. Frustrations and betrayals characterise these alliances that lead to the exhaustion of their forces. In the end, the forces of the social elites in the form of government manage to maintain the structures of a political society that constitutes a democratic façade.

Environment design for the creation of children's games incorporating virtual avatars. Using Unity 3D as development environment. The purpose of the project is to encourage children to be protagonists not only of the process for the creation of the framework, but also to feel identified with something that they themselves created. The project is called VG 4 KIDS (Video Game For Kids). The concept of the framework was obtained by conducting interviews with children throughout the process, in order to obtain a result that they liked. Currently the application is in the Android PlayStore (For mobile devices and Tablets).

This research product was the result of the efforts of the Gicead-End research group of the Faculty of Economics and Administration of the Institución Universitaria Escuela Nacional Del Deporte. It is oriented towards a review of the development of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach towards the new century and the Latin American environmental challenges, taking into account the constant change in the context of the problems and, therefore, the urgent innovations in the responses of organizations to those changes. University teaching, all over the world, is in the process of development and change, which is the reason why a series of researches have been carried out in order to improve the learning level of university students. However, most of the researches are very general, since they do not consider specific subjects, so that the contributions of these works do not allow determining the causes of the cognitive learning levels obtained by university students in a certain subject; reason for which the need to investigate the factors that influence the level of cognitive learning arises. In the present book, Bloom's New Taxonomy is applied to the teaching of Physics. The book is divided into three chapters. In Chapter I, Bloom's Taxonomy is presented. Chapter II develops Bloom's New Taxonomy, also called Bloom's Taxonomy Revised (Anderson and Krathwohl, 2001) and concludes with the definition of basic terms. Chapter III presents the application of Bloom's New Taxonomy to Physics teaching. Finally, references and appendices are included.

This work was compiled and presented in a Master's Business course. It is the result of a study conducted with lawyers, and its theoretical basis comes from management theories and practices.

This research work deals with moral damages and considers it to be of great relevance because its usefulness lies in providing detailed, objective and as complete information as possible in order to compensate in some way for the lack of information in today's society about who is entitled to claim for moral damages, serving for those people who may be indirectly harmed by a damaging event. Since judges will also have to adjust to the new regulations, this book provides an analysis of what is specifically regulated in the law, how it works in practice and also considers the questions that can be raised in this respect. In which we can conclude the lack of regulation in the new rules for people who have the right to be recognised as indirectly injured parties to claim for moral damages and who are not yet recognised as such, which seems to us to be something extremely important that should be taken into account for the next renewal of our Civil and Commercial Code.

The present research called Psychoeducational Program to Stimulate Motivation Towards Schoolwork in Tenth Year Students of the General Basic School "José Ingenieros" of the City of Loja, 2017-2018 sets out as an objective: to design a psychoeducational program to stimulate motivation towards schoolwork in tenth year students of the General Basic School "José Ingenieros". Descriptive study, pre-experimental design, cross-sectional and field study, scientific, analytical, synthetic, inductive, deductive, logical methods were used, and as a technique, a survey was applied in relation to the fulfillment of school tasks in a sample of 28 students. It is concluded that most of the students do not like to do homework, because the teachers guide a very high number of tasks and this bores them; they do not explain well how to do them, and they do not grade them; parents do not know what tasks their children should do every day, and nobody helps them to do them at home; for this, a psychoeducational program is proposed in order to stimulate motivation towards homework.

The War on Drugs in Mexico has been an event that will forever mark the contemporary history of the country, there have been very drastic changes in the public and private life of the general population (especially in the female population). Due to the radical changes that occurred as a result of this armed conflict, several cultural expressions have emerged (beliefs, customs, movies, series, music, clothing) that have been massified thanks to the media and information technologies; serious material has also been created that speaks of this topic that is so fashionable. The female population suffers the onslaught of this internal armed conflict being cannon fodder for the State, society and organized crime; even though it is said that women have more advantages in the drug business, it is only a mirage that gives the illusion of empowering and freeing them from the patriarchal yoke.

The development of this text does not pretend to be a specialized guide in economics or physics of movement; we leave that to the specialists in each field, who will know how to develop the subject of displacement in a more extensive way. Rather, it is a text that seeks to generate a questioning of conventional methods in creative processes, specifically in the area of architectural design and sound, which, in this case, functions as an element of inspiration for the creation of fictional spaces.

The current educational system faces the challenge of training subjects that can provide solutions to the social, cultural, educational and economic problems of the country. Within this framework, the different autonomous public universities in Mexico train generations of professionals in different disciplines based on the conditions, validity and reforms of the curricula within formal education. Every day, thousands of higher education students actively participate in the phenomenon that we know as higher education, throughout the different territories of Mexico, where the training processes are not only restricted to the development of curricular content, but are processes of acculturation and construction of the subjects that interact and shape societies.

Prematurity and its complications have been studied by obstetricians over the years. However, preterm birth and prematurity itself is a global health problem that remains to be solved. Discoveries in the field of biopharmaceutics have provided important guidelines, with which today we manage prematurity, to mitigate its consequences in neonates. The WHO defines prematurity as any birth occurring before 37 weeks or 259 days after the first day of the last menstrual period. We are grateful for the work and hours of research of many who have contributed in these decades to try to offer mothers and society, newborns with a better quality of life.

The following research work has the objective of favoring the university formation of students of pedagogical careers in the patriotism value through Physical Education classes using Chess as a tool, using theoretical and empirical methods that favor the fulfillment of scientific tasks. The research shows how Chess classes are an important instrument in the axiological formation, and the use of Cuban figures who practiced the scientific sport contributes to favor the formation of the patriotism value in the future generations of Cuban professionals, the research also uses a set of games and extra-class work within the Chess class to highlight figures who gave their lives for the Homeland. The contribution of the research is the elaboration of a pedagogical alternative to favor the formation of the patriotism value in university students of pedagogical careers in Chess classes.

In addition to being an essential element for life and part of the functioning of ecosystems, water is an indispensable and irreplaceable input for a wide range of social, biological and economic activities. Salinization or saline intrusion is a process that is affecting the quality of surface and groundwater in the main regions in the south of the country, given the intrusion of salty seawater into the water table and into the surface freshwater bodies due to the reduction of the natural hydraulic pressure of the rivers. The objective of the following research is to generate information on the dynamics of the salt wedge in a sector of the littoral area (lower basin) of the Bolas River. Some studies carried out on coastal aquifers in Central America mention saline intrusion as a contamination problem for water resources in the coming years.

This Booklet of Subsidies for Opening Professional and Technical Education Courses in the Youth and Adult Education Modality (EPT/EJA) within the scope of the Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR) - Umuarama Campus is the educational product resulting from a master's degree research project. It arose from the need to contribute to the analysis and reflection needed by professionals working in youth and adult education, to collaborate with the Course Structuring Committees (CEC), and to encourage the expansion and strengthening of the modality.The document seeks to offer support and advice to all those involved in the process of building Course Opening Proposals (PAC) and Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC) that involve EJA integrated with Vocational Education without, however, being intended to replace other important documents of the institution, such as the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP) and the Institutional Development Project (PDI). Its function is different and complementary, not minor or peripheral - in order to defend EFA/YA as a space for struggle and public policy.

For graduate studies, especially in the production and socialization of knowledge, the Integrated Model of Cooperation and Sustainable Socio-Human Development is proposed in this work. The Model represents a systemic, integrated and holistic conception of intelligent interrelational management in participation/action towards the commitment of academia and science for sustainable socio-human development, within a democratic framework of ecological ethical representation and shared social responsibility: Graduate Studies and Social Environment. Universities use different strategies to attract students or potential customers, making use of advertising campaigns, promotions, discounts, events, among other creative strategies that provide a great boost for the institution that publicizes its educational offerings. Universities throughout the school year are in constant advertising campaigns publicizing the educational offerings they have, using attractive advertising messages for students, but these campaigns are more intense before high school students complete their high school and make the decision of which university to choose to pursue their professional studies, but how important is educational marketing in the decision made by university students? The correct use of educational marketing in an institution serves as a positive strategy for the fulfillment of marketing objectives.

In the present study, which deals with the influence of Catholic education on the thinking and praxis of young university students, we will attempt to characterize Catholic education, beginning with its antecedents, and a description of Christian education, the Catholic school, the problems of the Catholic school, where we could not miss a sketch of the situation of today's youth in the face of the religious dimension of life. Another important theme is that of religious teaching, the religious dimension of education and the educational process. Finally, some proposals and operative lines are gathered and proposed in the face of the problems facing Catholic education today.

One of the main challenges faced by the Hospital Infection Control Service is monitoring healthcare professionals' adherence to hand hygiene. This study seeks to find out and collect data on the issue involving the multidisciplinary health team in terms of preventing hospital infections in a hospital unit, based on studies that show that many infections can be prevented by the simple act of hand washing. The initial purpose of this work is to carry out a literature review, complemented by field research. This is a descriptive, quantitative case study that was carried out in the adult intensive care unit over a period of five weeks. Ninety ICU health professionals were observed over a period of five weeks for 1.5 hours each in various shifts - always during the day at the start of each shift - at two points in time: Before and after contact with the patient. This data will be tabulated and then analysed using check sheets and questionnaires validated by WHO PAHO.

This book investigated in an unprecedented way the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic activities of essential oil (EO) crossed from Syzygium . aromaticum , Pimpinella anisum , Illicium verum , Cinnamomum verum and Pimenta dioica and their respective nanoemulsion . The EO was extracted by hydrodistillation and characterized by GC-MS. The nanoemulsion (O/W) was prepared by low energy phase inversion method. The antioxidant activity was performed by hydroxyl radical decolorization method. For the anti-inflammatory activity, the egg albumin protein denaturation method was used. For anti-arthritic activity, protein denaturation using BSA with cyclooxygenase was used. GC-MS identified 48 chemical constituents, and the majority was (E)-anethole (23.19%). The nanoemulsion showed an IC 50 of 37.60 mg L -1 for antioxidant activity, an IC 50 of 20.91 mg L -1 for anti-inflammatory activity, and an IC 50 of 48.56 mg L -1 for anti-arthritic activity. This book systematises theoretical aspects of a transposition that enriches the didactics of history and incorporates new perspectives with the purpose of raising the quality of history learning in students by establishing the epistemological framework and forming an integral system of influences to transmit culture and educate feelings, taking advantage of the potential of historical knowledge to develop socio-emotional skills and feelings that foster the best universal values and promote the formation of a personality aware of the need to achieve ways of thinking and acting that preserve the future of humanity. It constitutes a didactic proposal in which procedures of emotional exaltation and teaching and learning strategies are created that incorporate tools from other social sciences that offer the possibility of the use of suggestion, catharsis, symbolic language and communication in the development of the pedagogical process. There remains the invitation to enquiry, debate and consensus in order to build the didactics of the 21st century based on the rescue of traditions and educational innovation.

The study analyses the representations of opera singer Lina Cavalieri (1874-1944) conveyed through photographic postcards produced in France and Germany during the Belle Époque, in contrast to her career on stage. It can be seen that her portraits highlight the stereotypes of female fragility and dependence in force at the time, even though they were produced during a career that denied them in certain respects. Paradoxically, however, they also establish a dialogue with trends in favour of a new sexual ethic and the expansion of spaces for female performance and affirmation on the public stage.
