The question of man's being is considered a highly relevant issue for philosophy in the contemporary world, since scientific knowledge, even though it has expanded into the systematic study of man, has caused him to lose sight of his main essence. It is therefore necessary to return to the fundamental question that the philosopher Max Scheler would have emphasised in his anthropological writings: "What is man?". Thus, the essential principle that underpins man's being belongs to the metaphysical sphere and it is this same principle that gives meaning to his existence.

The present monograph is devoted to the one-step production of ethylene by oxidative condensation of methane, one of the main directions of production of organic chemistry, which is of great importance in industry. The monograph summarizes the results of a large number of scientific studies conducted in this field in our country and in foreign countries, outlines the kinetic regularities of the reaction of oxidative condensation of methane in integral and differential reactor conditions, the reaction mechanism, the technology of ethylene production and others. The monograph is intended for undergraduates, graduate students, researchers, scientific and scientific-technical workers and chemical engineers working in this field.

The purpose of this descriptive and quasi-experimental research work is to analyze and compare the traditional teaching method against the cooperative learning method, using the study of phase diagrams. Through this research work, the results of didactic and methodological character in experimental sciences, such as thermodynamics and chemistry, were exposed, by means of which the effect of cooperative learning in the teaching of phase diagrams was known. According to the above, the basic fundamentals of cooperative learning related to the teaching of phase diagrams were used and the didactic strategy was developed. The results obtained through an experimental group and a control group, were determined by the application of a diagnostic test, pre-test, where the students' previous ideas about science topics (specifically thermodynamics and phase diagrams) were known.

This book presents the results of the research carried out to obtain a Master's degree in Educational Sciences at the Autonomous University of Asunción - UAA-PY. Its aim is to analyse the use of the results of the National Assessment of School Performance (ANRESC) as an instrument of intervention for school managers, in order to ensure the learning of primary school students in the early years. The results presented through the research show that it is up to the manager to develop collective work and democratic management, where power is shared with the professionals involved in the process, so that everyone participates in drawing up the school's pedagogical proposal with the participation of the school and local communities, represented by the School Councils, in order to meet the real needs of the educational process.

The study deals with the efforts of post-war societies to engage in sustainable "peacebuilding". This is understood to mean overcoming previous wars, preventing new outbreaks of war, and building long-term peace structures. By presenting three case studies with the aim of understanding peacebuilding as an interaction of global and local processes and dealing with the areas of conflict in an exemplary manner, the aim is to awaken pedagogical understanding for this aspect in political education. The areas of the case studies are thematized with cause, course of war and termination of conflict. The study points to the process character in post-war societies of a transition from war to peace and presents efforts of the actors on the ground to peacemaking measures, thus a political education and peace education. Part of the outcome of such processes is that their character is open, from success to failure.

The purpose of this research is to put forward a proposal to improve the production process of panela through the design of the process for a pilot plant. In the study, a diagnosis was carried out in six panela plants in the area, which were active during the period from 01 October to 30 November 2016 in the cantons of Ibarra and Urcuquí, in the province of Imbabura. The diagnosis consisted of the evaluation of six variables within the panela production process: milling; concentration of sugar cane juice; beating, moulding or granulating, packaging and storage of panela, and heat generation. Based on the results of the diagnosis, the design of the panela production process is proposed under efficient industrialisation standards and good manufacturing practices. The proposal includes the necessary calculations for the management of raw materials, energy requirements and material balance. For better visualisation, a modelling is made in a software tool (Auto-CAD) with a 3D animation of the process. Finally, the current production processes and the proposed design are compared, showing the improvements in innovation.

Clinical Reasoning Apprenticeship (CRA) is a contextualized, student-centered teaching method. Its effect on improving clinical reasoning (CR) appears to be well documented in several fields of medicine. However, its contribution to the teaching of gastroenterology and its appreciation by learners appear to be less well documented.The objectives of our work were to evaluate the perception and immediate pedagogical effectiveness of three clinical reasoning learning sessions with DCEM2 learners at the Tunis Faculty of Medicine.

This pan-African work explores the opportunities for accelerating the process of regional integration in Africa in the context of the Russian Federation's special military operations in Ukraine. It is intended as a working tool and an excellent guide for public policy decision-making at local, national, sub-regional and regional levels.

In order to disseminate the intangible culture of the Otavalo people, a multimedia application is created for various platforms. This will inform both local, national and international citizenship. This application was made in two languages, Spanish and English, to be easily accessible to users, also implemented a marketing plan to reach the product on a massive scale.

For example, there are about 400 recognized psychological schools. However, a psychologist must be perfectly versed in at least a few of them in order to know what methodology to apply to the client in a particular situation.The relevance lies in the fact that clients to a psychologist can apply quite different. And of course, each client must be approached individually, because they all have their own special features.

The main aim is to consolidate knowledge and coordinate learning based on relevant scientific and literary productions on the subject. The way in which each mycosis was grouped and categorised was based on the general principle of fragmenting the content as much as possible so that it could be visualised and understood when added to other scientific productions and publications. As a spokesperson for the new generation of medical mycologists, firstly, we aim to bring the spotlight back to the field of fungal diseases, attracting the attention of the public health spheres to the important and considerable pathologies that affect the population and remain neglected. And secondly, through a didactic and enjoyable read, to attract new and promising academics to the field of mycology research.

This work deals with the possibility of the principle of insignificance being applied to crimes of abstract danger, taking as its theoretical basis the constitutional principles of the dignity of the human person, minimum intervention and offensiveness, as well as the modern conception of typicality in the material sense, going through the thesis of the disvalue of the result as the foundations of criminal injustice. The importance of the subject is emphasised by the growing proliferation of abstract danger crimes in today's risk society and their worrying reading in strictly formal terms, devoid of any material content. In this context, the aim of this work is to demonstrate the need to adapt the legislative technique of abstract danger crimes to constitutional dictates, by demanding a minimum level of harmful potentiality of the concrete conduct in relation to the legal asset that the legislator sought to protect, in order to confer legitimacy on criminal intervention, concluding that the application of the principle of insignificance is also compatible in the context of abstract danger crimes.

In this action-research study, we addressed the rationality of pathologising learners in situations of difficulty in the context of schooling and its repercussions on socio-cultural conflicts. We sought to understand, identify and trace the path that leads to this phenomenon; and to identify the cases and referral criteria for poor school performance in schools in the cities of Campo Bom and Ivoti-RS. In this way, we intend to contribute and raise awareness among professionals of the pathologisation of the subjective constitutions of the learner in socio-pedagogical inclusion practices.

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease and a global emergency, as it is the leading cause of death among infectious diseases worldwide. Although there are already technological resources capable of ensuring its control, there is no forecast for its eradication, unless new vaccines and treatments are discovered.

This book highlights the review of articles with outstanding topics in the management of diabetes mellitus and its complications such as fetal macrosomia or IUGR. Trying to be explicit in the research conducted in the Isidro Ayora Maternity Hospital, a retrospective descriptive study with review of maternal and neonatal medical records, which allowed us to establish the main complications that are caused by diabetes, thus leaving the reader free to make their decisions and make the corresponding management.

This book is designed to be a pedagogical tool and a guide, an alarm signal and/or warning, making all players at different levels aware that environmental issues are just as important and just as deserving of attention, with the aim of protecting the environment upstream and avoiding damage downstream. The current economic model, known as "linear", is not in line with sustainable development. We need to review our production and consumption patterns to extract fewer resources upstream, stop throwing them away downstream, and reduce or even avoid waste at every stage of the value chain. Worldwide, only 8.6% of extracted resources are returned to the economy once they have been used. Many essential resources are already at critical levels of availability. The linear economic model essentially consists of extracting or harvesting raw materials and using them as resources in the manufacture of products which are then marketed on a large scale via distribution networks.

Thus, the autonomous and free man defended by Kant is characterised as a moral being, unconditioned by the will of others and independent. In this way, postulating a moral imperative, he also considers autonomous freedom in other human beings, and aims universally at a set of goods for human dignity and not for selfish satisfaction.

This text deals with essays and analyses on reflections on economics, politics, management, administration, state, among other topics. In general terms, the theory attributes to politics and its problems a fundamentally instrumental nature. The problems of politics are identified with the problem of choosing the appropriate means to achieve substantive ends, whose character is economic or social. This instrumentalist conception of politics is endorsed by the prestige and respectability of authors of the stature of Max Weber, and this makes it particularly difficult to criticize. These features hinder the solution of the fundamental political question facing our countries, and are contradictory to their socioeconomic realities. It is proposed to explore an alternative model, which defines politics from its deliberative and plural dimension.

The content, structure and logic of presentation of educational material allow to use it as students of colleges, institutes and universities, as well as teachers of psychological, sociological and management disciplines.

Most of the population of East Kasai does not have easy access to drinking water. For this reason, it is necessary to choose a model hydraulic network to be set up to supply water to the populated sites in this environment, on a permanent basis and in the quantities required. The installation of a hydraulic network (AG or PVC) in space is a very complex problem, due to the topography of the site, the lack of respect for the principles of urbanization and the phenomena of gullying which place the pipes at the mercy of all kinds of stresses. In this work, we will be able to find solutions to the technical and social problems of the aforementioned society, by developing hydraulic networks enabling drinking water to be supplied to any location in need. We have modeled the hydraulic network of asurep Disanka using Epanet 2.0 software, and dimensioned and compared the two networks, AG and PVC, from a technical and financial point of view, using formulas that exist in the literature. The results showed that the PVC drinking water distribution network offers many advantages over the AG network for our environment.

In recent decades, clays have been widely used as an integral part of industrial processes, mainly due to the low cost of these materials, as well as their sustainable potential, as they are materials that can be regenerated and reused in successive processes. Natural anionic clays are relatively rare materials compared to cationic clays, but their good and easy reproducibility in the laboratory and simple regeneration after use make these materials very accessible for industrial applications, especially in terms of their cost-benefit ratio.

This text will address a topic of special importance in the teaching practice, particularly in the development of writing skills, which determines to a great extent the future performance of students in the different areas of knowledge. Here we will find a different approach to processes that in recent years have been underestimated, such as the importance of the typology of writing, the correct application of writing and the use of memory, as factors that affect the performance of the writing process from the first years of schooling and ultimately in school success or failure.

The communication conflicts currently experienced in the private transport service correspond to communication barriers between drivers and users. This is known from the information provided by taxi drivers, who in their eagerness to get more rides use inappropriate language with users, which prevents quality communication between these individuals.

The aim of the book is to analyse the possibility of changing the name on the civil register of transsexuals or people with gender dysphoria without the need for sex reassignment surgery, in order to achieve personality rights and the realisation of human rights. This book presents personality rights and the dignity of the human person, in order to understand the presuppositions of personality rights, especially the right to one's name and the right to one's body. It then goes on to analyse the civil identification of transsexuals, in order to provide an understanding of the conceptual aspects relating to sex, gender, gender identity and transsexuality. Transsexuality and name adjustment are demonstrated in order to understand the right to a name, the possibility of changing it and the right to sexual adjustment surgery from a legal perspective. Adjusting one's name without undergoing sex reassignment surgery guarantees personality rights and the realisation of human rights.

Human performance is one of the cornerstones for the sustainability of production processes, as it is the labour power invested in organisational tasks that determines the productivity index. It is in this context that intelligent organisations with a modern management vision must look at managing and evaluating the performance of their employees as a fundamental tool for making strategic decisions and one of these decisions relates to practices linked to the development of human capital such as: training, coaching, education and others.

Beer can be considered a low-alcohol beverage, produced by fermentation, where the main ingredients are water, hops and malted cereals. Its production process involves a series of stages, one of which is mashing. This pomace is agro-industrial waste that, when disposed of inappropriately in the environment, causes a series of environmental problems. The aim of this study was to carry out a physical and chemical analysis of this residue obtained from the production of artisanal wheat beer, with a view to harnessing it and using it in food products. The samples obtained were characterised using the following parameters: moisture content, ash, lipids, proteins and carbohydrates. The results of the analyses for the raw material just ground were: moisture (8.36%), ash (1.431%), lipids (15.60%), proteins (8.29%), carbohydrates (66.93%). And for bagasse: moisture (65.98%); ash (0.6185%); lipids (14.99%); proteins (4.25%) and carbohydrates (13.55%). These results show that this residue has a high energy value and great potential for use in various areas of technology, such as human and animal nutrition.
