This book is a synthesis of 14 years' experience in higher education. This course is taught to engineering students at the Ecole Supérieure d'Agriculture du Kef in Tunisia (ESAK). It has been designed to provide students with a basic understanding of economics and its importance, using a simple pedagogical approach. The concepts covered relate to market functioning, consumer behavior and producer behavior.

This book refers to the knowledge of financial indicators and the influence on decision making, measuring the level of knowledge of individual microentrepreneurs about the financial indicators of their business. From this theme, we had as a general objective to present the importance of indicators for the financial management of organizations and contributions of these data as a guide in the decision-making process. As specific objectives: emphasize the importance of financial indicators for decision making, present the MEI universe and investigate the financial knowledge of microentrepreneurs in Garanhuns. About the understanding of these indicators: 75% have knowledge, 88% say they have control and mastery of their fixed and variable costs, however, only 50% analyze the net and operating income, which contradicts itself in terms of understanding and use of these parameters, and that in fact affirm the relevance of knowing the data that are interdependent in their structure, knowing their fixed and variable costs, contribution margin, break-even point and net and operating income, serve as a guide to possible adversities.

Pinus elliottii var. elliottii x Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis has gained importance since the nineties in the province of Misiones, both for its growth and its technological aptitude. The aim of this work was to evaluate the variations in the light environment from different thinning schemes, which combined 3 intensities with 3 frequencies of intervention. Coverage, total incident radiation, leaf area index (LAI) and bunching factor were evaluated. The methodology proposed by Macfarlane et al. for the estimation of LAI from flat photographs was validated. The thinning applied had a differential influence on the canopy characterization variables analyzed. The IAF obtained by the methodology proposed by Macfarlane et al. showed similar values to those obtained by allometry.

The book brings together an analysis of major urban projects proposed through Urban Intervention Projects (PIUs), with the aim of feeding the debate on latent conflicts in urban policy in São Paulo, as well as being able to add elements to contribute to the reflection on the contemporary specificity in the processes of production of space in territories undergoing urban restructuring. The hypothesis in question is that the purpose of these processes implemented through the PIU is rather to make the concession viable than to propose a programmatic content of public interest. Although the proposition of an "urban project of public interest" becomes a necessary part, acquiring an operative role as a device to enable the concession of urban space. In any case, this rhetorical movement is not a new operation, nor is it an effect of the use of the PIU in particular. The novelty in this case is manifested in the generalization of this process and its normalization as a normal pattern of development and urban planning rationality. The analysis carried out allows us to signal the recurrence of the concession of urban space adopted as the norm in the production of space, through the PIU, as its device.

Air pollution and its possible impact on human health has been the subject of growing interest in sub-Saharan African countries in recent years. In Cameroon, there is a lack of data on the situation. The aim of this preliminary study was to highlight the clinical manifestations linked to air pollution among the inhabitants of Douala and Dschang in Cameroon. It was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study, carried out between September 2013 and February 2014 in the two cities. Four hundred and one (401) active, healthy-looking people under the age of 30 were included in the study. These were "bend skiner" motorcycle riders, coded as MBD (Motor Bikes Drivers), individuals working daily on the streets coded as IWS (Individuals Working daily on Street), and individuals working in closed places coded as IWCP (Individuals Working daily in Closed Places). A questionnaire was used to extract demographic data and clinical manifestations linked to air pollution among these categories of people.

Meningiomas, well known since the Cushing's monograph, are extra-parenchymal tumors, usually benign, which develop at the expense of arachnoid cells. Despite their potential to evolve locally and their slow growth kinetics, they can take on certain aspects of malignancy which still pose difficult, if not insoluble, problems for the neurosurgeon. Indeed, certain localizations and certain aspects of their evolution (recurrent, multiple or malignant meningiomas) sometimes represent a real challenge, posing difficult therapeutic problems with higher morbidity and mortality. Meningiomas are common, accounting for 15-20% of all primary brain tumors in adults. They are twice as common in women as in men, and increase in the second half of life, peaking in the fifth decade. There is no unambiguous clinical presentation, and the full range of intracranial neurological symptoms can be described, depending above all on the size and location of the tumor.

In view of the skills developed in the course of their training and the exercise of their functions, lawyers could intervene in international peace mediation, as mediators or auxiliaries to justice, subject to conditions that have yet to be established.

The object of this book was the training of Physical Education teachers, and especially the connections and relations of the pedagogies of "learning to learn" with the National Curricular Guidelines of Physical Education. The pedagogies of "learning how to learn", term coined by Professor Newton Duarte, encompasses a set of pedagogical theories that have as one of its characteristics the secondarization of the contents and science, both at school and in teacher training. This perspective has been directed by international organisations and is present in a hegemonic way in Brazilian educational policy. We verified that the official legislation for the formation of Physical Education teachers - Resolution CNE/CP # 01, from February 18, 2002 and Resolution # 07, from March 31, 2004 - express regularities regarding pedagogical theory, showing an alignment to this perspective. In this context, we defend the historical-critical pedagogy as a conception that should guide the formation of Physical Education teachers, having in mind the elevation of the working class cultural standard.

The diagnosis of maritime fisheries in the Republic of Guinea is being carried out with AFD's support to the CSRP, with the aim of strengthening the participation of professional fishing organizations (POs) in the governance of the activity on which their lives depend. It focuses mainly on small-scale maritime fisheries, and attempts to update knowledge of the sector. It also refers to the types of PO present on the Guinean coast. The work is being carried out by ADEPA. It consists of a literature review, supplemented by qualitative interviews. Guinea's natural conditions, with an exceptionally wide continental shelf and extensive mangrove swamps, are conducive to the development of fishery resources. These resources are coveted by both artisanal and industrial fisheries. Pelagic fish account for 2/3 of Guinea's fishing potential. Commercial fish, shrimps and cephalopods are also exploited.

The aim of this work is to evaluate the in vitro fermentability of forage and concentrate mixtures by the ruminal microbiota of sheep, and to study the associative effects of these mixtures in order to identify the various metabolic interactions between them. Triticale, a cross between wheat, rye and barley, and concentrate, which contains forages rich in the energy, nitrogen and minerals required by sheep ruminal microbiota. The mixtures were obtained using the 3 x 3 Latin square procedure. The in vitro fermentation technique was used to determine the quantitative and qualitative production of fermentative gases. Determination of the quantitative and qualitative kinetic profiles of the gas pool and a study of digestibility (CD ¿ 80% DM) show that triticale, barley and concentrate, together with their mixtures, have a very high fermentation potential, and therefore a very high recovery potential, due to their high energy and protein content. These mixtures do not remain in the rumen as long.

The archives are the sets of documents produced and received in the course of activities of any natural or legal person regardless of the support in which they are found. The Law No. 8159 of January 08, 1991, provides for the national policy of public and private archives and other provisions. The archival legislation is the set of legal norms related to archives and to professionals in the area. The stimulus to the management of public archival documents aims at: the organization of current, intermediate and permanent archives; the evaluation and selection of documents, according to the values they present; the preservation of documents that constitute the public archival patrimony; the guarantee of access to the information contained in the documents; the adequate training of human resources that carry out archival activities.

Introduction: Spinal tuberculosis is the most frequent and severe manifestation of osteoarticular tuberculosis. Objective: To identify the clinical and radiological aspects as well as the diagnostic, therapeutic and evolutionary modalities of spinal tuberculosis. Methods: Retrospective study including 17 patients hospitalized for spinal tuberculosis at the university hospital of GABES. Results: The average age was 46 years. Spinal pain was the revealing functional sign in 15 patients. Radiological exploration revealed spinal lesions in all patients, associated with epidural involvement (15 cases) and soft tissue abscess (6 cases). The diagnosis of tuberculosis was confirmed by culture or PCR on abscess puncture fluid or biopsy fragments in 5 patients and by histological evidence in 5 patients. In addition to anti-tuberculosis treatment, four patients underwent decompressive laminectomy. Conclusion: Spinal tuberculosis is prone to serious neurological complications, hence the importance of early diagnosis and treatment.

According to the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), global cotton consumption and trade showed a welcome recovery in the 2020/21 season after global cotton production declined to 24.2 million tons, down 7% from the previous season. Meanwhile, cotton consumption increased 12.4% to 25.5 million tons, and a similar trend is projected for 2021/22." 3 . That is why it is essential to further develop cotton ginning industry, develop new resource-saving techniques and technologies, reduce production costs and produce competitive products in the world cotton market. In all cotton-growing countries of the world, research work is being carried out on a large scale to improve techniques and technology for primary cotton processing and to create their scientific basis.

This work aims to reflect on the determination of the pedagogical work from a dialectical pair objectives/evaluation considering its philosophical-political-epistemological determinants, based on a critical and propositional conception of Education/Physical Education. This work emerged from reflections of the teaching practice, provided by the Collective of Reflection-Action in Education/Physical Education (CORE) from the actions of the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Initiation to Teaching (PIBID). Through observations and critical experiences, we have obtained an improvement in the understanding of pedagogical issues, as well as a deepening of the knowledge dealt with in the classes. Nevertheless, this work intends to contribute to the formation of researchers and teachers in continuous formation.

The context of limited resources, low population incomes and the insignificant number of professionals in the care of SCI patients, largely compromises efforts aimed at motor facilitation and assessment of neuro-motor deficiencies. The aim of this study, conducted from January 2012 to December 2016, was to determine the level of functional independence in spinal cord injured patients in the post-discharge period, with a view to drawing practical conclusions. The detection of certain disorders linked to spinal cord injury using SCIM III enables them to be managed. The study involved 20 patients who survived inadequate conditions during the post-discharge period, including 16 men and 4 women (70% paraplegics and 30% tetraplegics); of the 30 who were admitted to neurosurgery and followed up in rehabilitation medicine. For the WHO, spinal cord injury is not inevitable and therefore avoidable; it cannot condemn these victims to death, so they can survive with adaptations to a new life; victims can hope for a better quality of life and be useful to society.

Largest magazine in circulation in Brazil between the 1940s and 1950s, O Cruzeiro published a variety of subjects in its 47 years of existence, among them international politics. One theme in particular drew attention for the quantity of publications: the Argentine participation in inter-American relations between the forties and the sixties. With the central objective of analyzing the criticism of the periodical on Argentina in the American international concert between 1946, the beginning of the Perón government, and 1966, the fall of President Arturo Illia, it is considered the hypothesis that the ideas of democracy and the American concert produced by the journalists are wide-ranging, admitting the respect and the breaking of the social contract, in the case of the first, the American Pan-Americanism and the Latin American multilateralism, in the case of the second. Finally, one notices the characterization of "two Argentinas" in the revised pages: that of Juan Domingo Perón (in disagreement with the American concert and representing a danger to Brazil) and that of the governments under the tutelage of the military (in tune with the inter-American relations and in partnership with Brazil).

The book approaches the existing interlocution between popular culture and tourism, having as field of analysis the State of Paraíba. Its capital, João Pessoa, brings up a list of nuances and aspects that deserve to be analysed in the light of scientific research and tourism. The conclusions point to an attempt to transform popular culture due to the interests pursued by tourism, having the manifestations as a product to be marketed in the national and international tourist showcase.

Today, rhetoric appears not only as a science of the future, but also as a fashionable science, on the borders of structuralism, new criticism and semiology. However, as rhetoric itself, as a whole, addresses little more than appearance and opinion, diction must be treated with some care, not as good in itself, but as necessary. Without doubt, perfection would be to confine oneself, when speaking, to causing one's listeners neither pain nor pleasure, and to asking for one's weapons and victory only from the things themselves, so that everything outside the demonstration becomes absolutely useless. But unfortunately, all these accessories exert an enormous influence and it is, I repeat, because the listeners are corrupted. There is no teaching in which diction and style do not necessarily play a small part, because as long as you're demonstrating something, it's not unimportant to express yourself in one way or another.

Introduction: Classified as a pandemic by the WHO on March 11, 2020, COVID-19 infection represents a real medical challenge. Objective: To determine the radio-clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary particularities of ETE during SARS-CoV-2 infection in elderly subjects. Methods: Retrospective, descriptive study including 150 patients hospitalized in the COVID-19 isolation unit, at the University Hospital of Gabes, during the period from January to March 2021. Results: The mean age of our patients was 77.94 ± 7.198 years. Venous thromboembolic complications were observed in 85.3% of patients represented by PE in all cases. Arterial TTE was noted in 14.7% of patients, represented by thoracic (60%) and abdominal (40%) TTE. Mechanical ventilation was required in 8.8% of patients. The outcome was fatal in 70.6% of patients. Conclusion: In the absence of effective treatment, prevention of TTE is necessary to improve prognosis.

Political participation based to some extent on ethnicity or geography is deeply rooted in Congolese society. Hence, ethnicity remains a weapon of political combat that everyone seeks to use before embarking on an electoral adventure. In view of this unavoidable reality, we have reflected on the use of ethnicity as a weapon in the conquest of political power in the Democratic Republic of Congo, focusing on the instrumentalist approach to the subjective dimension of ethnicity in the 2006 presidential elections.

Air is a vital element. Today, it is the cause of death in megacities. Most of the world's major cities are home to a large number of industries and dense road traffic, whose gaseous emissions have a negative impact on air quality (Halek et al. 2010; Tan et al. 2011). Many gaseous substances and respirable particulate materials are frequently released into the air from fixed or mobile sources. Studies have shown that the quantitative and/or qualitative presence of certain gases and particles suspended in the air degrades its quality and affects human health and the environment (Forsberg 2005). In Côte d'Ivoire, in recent years, the public authorities have made industrialisation one of the essential links in the development chain, after the success of agriculture. But the implementation of this policy sometimes poses environmental problems. The district of Abidjan, particularly the commune of Yopougon, concentrates a large proportion of economic and industrial activities.

Abstract: Is entrepreneurship a solution to youth unemployment in Côte d'Ivoire? An analysis of the characteristics of the entrepreneurial potential according to gender, of 528 students at the University of Bouaké, enrolled in licence 3 and master 1 in 2017, leads to a negative answer. Analysis of the scores on a self-assessment test shows that the lack of enthusiasm among young graduates for entrepreneurship is largely due to the general education (school and university) they received. In fact, most of them have little entrepreneurial potential. More specifically, female students have the lowest entrepreneurial potential because of the prejudice against girls. That is why we tried to understand the spirit of the composer, his style of piano writing and his innovative contribution. In addition, the composer made a return to some old forms where he put all his new musical material. Among these forms we can mention the instrumental suite, which he treated in his own way and to which he liberated the pre-established rules. This is how he was able to build up a repertoire for the art of piano playing.

The World Health Organization (WHO) now recommends the use of neonatal growth charts to assess the weight of newborns according to their gestational age [3]. Thus, a newborn is considered hypotrophic (or "small for gestational age") when it is below the 10th percentile on the reference weight curve. A distinction is also made between harmonious hypotrophy, where weight, height and head circumference are reduced, and disharmonious hypotrophy, where only weight is low. Conversely, a newborn is considered macrosomic (or "large for gestational age") when the weight exceeds the 90th percentile. If the weight is between the two limits (10th and 90th percentiles), it is called eutrophy (or "appropriate for gestational age"). Neonatal growth charts are therefore useful in assessing newborns at risk for low or high birth weight. Obstetricians and pediatricians use these reference curves to correctly identify newborns requiring special attention because of their association with neonatal morbidity and mortality.

To reposition itself socially and change the picture of continuous losses - of faithful, prestige and power -, the Catholic Church strives to create strategies of re-elaboration/reaffirmation of religious memory and to reposition itself socially. An example of this is the Metropolitan Cathedral Cristo Rei, under construction in the city of Belo Horizonte (MG). To achieve these purposes, the Church needed to review its relationship with the media, giving them a new dimension and making them tools for the dissemination of religious and other contents related to the support of the cathedral project. With this, it seeks to (re)constitute symbolically the union of the Catholic people, the religious memory and the identity threatened by collective forgetfulness, by religious mobilization and by the privatization of religion.

This report presents the organisation and management of the activities of the engineering department of the company SCR. Indeed, due to the absence of a technical manager for the management of its different activities, namely: electricity, renewable energies, and maintenance training, SCR encountered the following problems ¿ Lack of working tools for building and industrial electricity work; ¿ Lack of a database to assist in the marketing of electrical and solar equipment; ¿ The company did not represent any brand name in the field of electricity, solar photovoltaic and CMMS and CAPM software; ¿ No technical documentation or files were in place; In order to overcome these multiple problems, we began by creating a database on Access containing a list of electrical equipment with their prices as well as the different suppliers. MSDs refer to a set of injuries to muscles, nerves, tendons, and joints, and can affect various parts of the body. However, there is a lack of studies addressing these perspectives in the lower regions. This study aimed to investigate the relationship of risk factors on lower limbs (thigh, leg, and foot) by applying structural equation modeling (SEM). A sample size of 420 workers was used. The data collected were related to four factors: sociodemographic, occupational, biomechanical, and psychosocial. Using the results of the logistic regression models that influence the development of MSDs, the most significant factors were weighted for the construction of the structural equation model (SEM). It can be concluded that the results pointed to significant links between the risk factors and their influence on the perceived symptoms of MSDs by lower limb workers. The hypotheses raised confirmed the multifactorial origin of the causers (risk factors) of thigh, leg, and foot pain, providing an understanding of the complex relationship between risk factors in the workplace.

The European market, which consumes more than half of the world's chocolate products, is becoming more and more saturated and, given the competition and the diversity of offers in this sector, it is becoming essential for companies to find new outlets by getting closer to their customers. Today, the global competitive context requires companies to satisfy their customers, improve their performance and profitability. In order to meet these requirements, the CEMOI Group has decided to invest about 4 billion CFA francs in the creation of a chocolate factory in order to supply the national and sub-regional markets with chocolate products adapted to local tastes and of good quality. The African market which was very little exploited although it represents an important potential becomes the new challenge of the said company. It is a question for us of: To show that chocolate is a product that requires continuous investments and constant innovations; To promote the chocolate expertise of the CEMOI Group and to anchor in the minds of African consumers that the quality of chocolate must be associated with the producing country.
