The Life of Lily is inspired by a black lab named Lily. Lily spent the first few years of her life in a cage having litters of puppies. She was in poor health when she was rescued in 2015, but she received excellent care through Save a Lab Rescue and ultimately came to live in Vermont to recover. Lily's story highlights the reality of bullying which occurs in the animal world as abuse and mistreatment, but, unfortunately, it can also occur in a child's life. This story teaches us that with the support of trusting adults we can put an end to bullying. Happily, Lily's story ended well with her spending the rest of her life feeling safe and loved. He died in 1975 leaving White a young widow at thirty-nine years old. In 1981, White married a man from Kentucky who died in 2003. She then moved back to her hometown of Guin, Alabama. In 2014 she married one more man who died in 2016. That's when White said, "I don't want to marry again no matter how good they are. I am now eighty-one years old and I am going to become an author as soon as possible." White had written a fiction story in 1996 while living in Kentucky titled, The Outgoing Octopus. Twitty Chose Jenny and The Faithful Church Cat were written in 2016.

This book was written by divine inspiration that came through a dream. The dream was an answer to a need in the life of the author. It was proof that dreams can be relevant and address the daily lives, wants, needs and fears of anyone. For this reason, the author believes it is important to pay attention to dreams. Shortly after the dream the author, who had never written poetry, discovered this new ability. To test this newly discovered talent, the author randomly chose various mundane subjects to write about and found that he could turn any subject into a poem. Then he began to use Bible verses as inspiration and made them the main focus of his poetry. That was when he discovered the reason for his poetry. His former wife, who passed away several years ago, was in need of encouragement and comfort, so most of the poetry was written to her.About the AuthorThe author was born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He came from a very modest family of very humble means. After graduating from high school, the author enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for four years. After receiving an honorable discharge, he enrolled in college full time. Before graduating, the author left school and became a New Jersey State Trooper. During his career, he went back to school and received his degree in Criminal Justice. After serving twenty-eight very rewarding years, he retired. Shortly thereafter, he began to write poetry. He still lives in New Jersey with his lovely new wife, who encouraged him to publish his poetry. Both he and his wife enjoy traveling and fine dining. The author is still writing poetry and plans to write more books. He is a Bible teacher and pastoral elder at his church. He is also an avid fisherman and dedicated physical fitness enthusiast.
Because author Pat Schell understood that we create our own life situations through our very thoughts, she began to probe and search for tools that would allow her to get very clear on this life process. She considers her life as one that remains open and receptive to many new ideas: whether her own or those that are given to her by many friends and acquaintances. She is driven by motivation and inspiration. Many very important events in her life have brought her to a place of compassion and empathy. Early on, Pat wondered why we focus so much of our attention on our outer circumstances, leaving little or no time to go within. Understanding that we are born into a fearful environment, unless we are willing to face the unknown, it is most likely that THIS will be our way of life!About the AuthorPat Schell is filled with enthusiasm for life and expresses it in many ways. Pat has spent the majority of her retirement volunteering in many local community outreach programs, along with her husband of 55 years, Richard.
