Integrated Nutrient Management in Wheat

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the world most widely cultivated food crop. In India it is the second important stable crop after rice.The relationship between fertilizer and food security is most clearly shown in the case of N, the dominant nutrients in terms of global use. The use of three major nutrients as chemical fertilizer is necessary to achieve production target of wheat. Micro nutrients are also necessary to achieve sustainability in production and to improve quality of wheat.Nutrient elements of major significance for yield and quality of wheat are Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium for getting high yield and better quality of wheat.
