Islamic Feminism in Egypt ¿An Analytical Critical view¿

The book aims to shed the light on one of the human rights movements concerned with women's issues, especially personal status issues. In fact, focusing on the personal status issues is due to the argument raised recently on the related laws to modify or cancel some of them which may affect women's progress and their access to human rights in a context that mixes between Islamic Shari¿a and the social, cultural traditions and customs. This movement seeks to shed the light on the actual status of women within Islam and to what extent Islam provides respect women and guarantees their rights.
