Life Between the Poles

An anthology of poems written from the viewpoint of a bipolar poet covering topics such as psychotherapy, romance, divorce, whimsy, and the experience of writing poetry itself. During a protracted hospital stay in 1995, Smith began to write. For many years, the author has lived with bi-polar disorder - thus, the title of this compilation of his poems - Life Between the Poles.
