This implies that the dental profession recognizes that the artifact is of less biological value than the original healthy tissue. Minimal Invasive Dentistry focuses on treating oral diseases, not just the signs and symptoms of oral disease. The ultimate goal is to prevent disease from occurring in the first place, or where disease already exists, to eradicate the disease and prevent it recurrence.
