Nkrumah and Ghana

Kofi Buenor Hadjor's study of Nkrumah provides a reconstruction of one of the most significant political experiments in post-colonial Africa. According to Hadjor, the failure of the Nkrumah experiment does not detract from its long term relevance for Africa. In the circumstances that prevailed in Nkrumah's time, mistakes could not have been avoided. However, the clarity of Nkrumah's vision helps throw light on the problems facing contemporary African societies.
