Pollination is a vital aspect of plant reproduction and a co-adaptive feature in the field of evolution of plant and pollinators. the features of plants especially flowers are evolved to attract pollinators thereby, attain better traits to exploit floral resources of the plant . In plants, the various mechanisms of pollination are fundamentally diverse and depend on the interaction with agents that promote pollination. Thus, pollination system plays a major role to ensure the reproductive success of a plant. this book is a guide towards various pollination mechanisms exhibited by two endemic tree species of Southern Western Ghats, viz., Humboldtia decurrens and Humboldtia sanjappae.
