Populism and Power

This book analyzes the ideology of populism in the context of democracy, by investigating the farmers' movement in Western India, especially in Maharashtra.The author contrasts the fundamentals of democracy with the prevailing power structures and highlights it as a cause for the apparent agrarian crisis in the region.
