Über Recent Advances in Local Anaesthesia in Paediatric Dentistry
Pain control has been a vital part of dentistry ever since the advent of Nitrous Oxide by Horace Wells. As modern dentistry incorporated more and more mesures to increase the patients comfort, thus progress towards the pain free dentistry is still active even today. Traditional methods of inducing local anaesthesia include injectable drugs using different injection techniques. However, anaesthetic failure in paediatric dentistry is common. Variations such as the child¿s age, gender, anxiety and anatomical variations influence the effectiveness of local anaesthesia.
