Report of the Commission on Country Life

The Commission on Country Life was appointed by President Thyeodore roosevelt on 10 August 1908; on 23 January 1909 its report was presented to the president. The purpose of the commission was to determine the status of country life in the United States, to point out its main deficiencies, and to suggest lines of action and inquiry. Originally published in 1944.
