Über Teilhabeorientierte Kulturvermittlung
Germany boasts one of the most diverse cultural landscapes in Europe. Nevertheless, publicly-supported cultural programmes often only reach a small, usually highly-educated and well-off section of society. How can cultural institutions situate themselves to interact with people from different backgrounds, milieus, generations and cultural and aesthetic preferences? The findings regarding cultural usage presented in this volume demonstrate the current barriers to this. Alongside concepts of cultural education (audience development, outreach, participative projects and change-management processes), this book presents cultural and political strategies for the participative restructuring of the cultural life of a city or region (i.e. community building and cultural development planning designed at increasing participation). Contributions by Vera Allmanritter, Esther Bishop/Lea Fink/Albert Schmitt, Özlem Canyürek, Christoph Deeg, Stefan Fischer-Fels, Bill Flood/Eleonora Redaelli, Patrick S. Föhl/Gernot Wolfram, Max Fuchs, Alexander Henschel, Barbara Hornberger, Susanne Keuchel, Ulrich Khuon/Birgit Lengers, Lutz Liffers, Birgit Mandel, Angela Meyenburg/Miriam Kremer, Thomas Renz, Jens Schmidt und Anne Torreggiani as well as an interview with Wolfgang Zacharias.
