"The Ego and His Own" was first published in Germany in 1845 and influenced the entire German culture. Nearly every German author that I have translated was strongly influenced by Max Stirner. This English translation by Steven T. Byington appeared in 1907 and the book has been republished a few times since, but has not been available in todays world.
