The IVES UNIVERSE - a Symphonic Odyssey

The project of a Lincoln Center premiere of my realization of the Universe Symphony by Charles Ives resulted from the collective spirit of many individuals and organizations. Chief among those to be singled out for their dedication to this endeavor are the funders of this enterprise. Thank you Stuart Pivar for securing Alice Tully Hall for June 6, 1996. And thank you Phil Lesh for believing in Charles Ives, and thank you New York State Council on the Arts for your vital support. As Ives anticipated, the concert was defiantly for those with ¿the ears and the mind unfettered.¿
