Wild Poems

In her first series of nature poetry-along with meditations on life-Stephanie Petrie explores how the natural world can lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves. With appreciation for animals and the mysteries that surround our daily life with the natural world, she gives voice to the many special messages and miracles they reveal to us every day.
Throughout the 48 poems of Wild, she shares a passion for nature from the smallest of moments of what a snail tells us about housing as she begins her journey on a garden leaf; to a mountain lion looking at her with glowing eyes in the dark as she walks on a desert trail; and to seeing a raccoon finding his final resting home beneath an apple tree in her backyard.
In Part I Wild at Heart, Stephanie observes living things and their messages and miracles. Part II, The Expanding Quest, explores the essence of the natural world. Part III, Moments of Grace, wrestles with grief and missed opportunities, while revealing how insights into nature and life expand our own lives.
