The thesis presents new regulations of the German Stock Corporation Act (Aktiengesetz) on identification of shareholders, transmission of information and facilitation of exercise of shareholder rights. The objectives of the work are to clarify important questions of interpretation with regard to the new regulations, to place them in the context of the previous regulations on shareholder transparency and to provide an overview of their effects on the German corporate law.
