»The Time Frame to Pronounce Judgement after Criminal Trials and its Applicability in Appellate Court Proceedings on Questions of Law«: The study investigates if the term to pronounce a sentence within eleven days after the hearing, according to § 268 III 2 StPO, applies to trials held in front of the German Federal Court of Justice as appellate court when it is only deciding on questions of law. The Supreme Court of the German Reich denied that in 1895 and it is still handled this way though § 356 StPO demands differently. The study discusses these questions from a normative, empirical, and practical perspective.
