Horizontal signaling is one of the road elements most related to road safety, as it allows the driver to keep the vehicle within the traffic lane and to plan the driving task ahead. For this reason, the lack of signaling or its deterioration has a direct and immediate impact on the circulation of vehicles, being a determining factor in road safety. This is materialized by road markings, which consist of a set of longitudinal and transverse lines, signs and symbols on the pavement surface. This article analyzes the results of the first experiences in the application of the "loaded wheel" test on concrete specimens on which a road marking system is applied, consisting of water-based and solvent-based acrylic paints with the addition of premixed and seeded microspheres.

This economic-social project supports a series of actions that have been adapted over time in the school 58 Papaloapan located in the municipality of San Juan Bautista, Tuxtepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. However, the lack of infrastructure is not a limitation to grow in terms of teaching-learning and especially interpersonal relationships: principal-teacher-student-parents, the latter being the most important to be able to meet the needs of the context in its beginnings. It should be noted that the creation of lines of communication is a detonating factor for the establishment of academic follow-up in the students during the training period, in this way the causes of desertion in the students were detected. In order to support and persuade them in their decisions, a program of a very simple and natural technique called Transcendental Meditation was established, its benefits are: reduction of stress, greater concentration, better academic performance, motivation, etc., resulting in reinforcement of values and this is where the social project called: ANAM, is a small program of mutual support.

As a master's student on the Postgraduate Programme in the History of Sciences and Techniques and Epistemology/HCTE-UFRJ, while taking part in the subjects "History of Sciences in Brazil" and "History of Scientific Institutions" and looking for new challenges in academic life, we came across the issue of the invisibility of women in the sciences made by historiography and common sense, reproducing the idea that there were no women practising science in previous centuries. One gets the impression that from the 19th to the 20th century, science moved more and more into the laboratory and closed institutions that made it difficult for women to participate, appearing in history as someone's wife, someone's appendage, despite being in the field with their husbands and being invaluable to research, dedicating themselves to the inherent work of scientific research, such as looking after the collections, illustrating and/or translating experiments and texts, doing science alongside their scientist husband, who at the end of the process was awarded prizes, recognition and honour, their names in the shadow of the male renown.

Among the main causes of the contamination of the San Lucas River we find garbage produced by anthropic activity, as well as the dumping of foreign matter, such as microorganisms, chemical products, industrial waste, among others. The main polluting factors were observed: people and animals defecating in the river, residential garbage dumping, sewage discharge (clandestine drains), car washes, residential, commercial, mineral and inorganic waste, and chemical compounds, due to bad practices of farmers who dump fertilizer containers and agricultural inputs into the river. In this sense, the objective of this study is to establish the causes, consequences and solution measures for the contamination of the San Lucas river, and to identify the variables that will be part of the causal diagram within the Vensim software environment, among the identified variables we have: level variables, flow variables, auxiliary variables and finally constant variables.

This study refers to the history of the Swimming Centre at the School of Physical Education (ESEF) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). As well as its facilities serving as a stage for teaching and research activities, which guide the training of teachers in the Licentiate and Bachelor's Degree courses in Physical Education, many actions and programmes are offered to the community in general through extension projects. The university extension activities developed by the Swimming Centre play an important social role, consolidating the commitment to the three pillars of the university: teaching, research and extension. The Swimming Centre is an important space that contributes a great deal by generating financial resources for the school, but above all because it enables ESEF students to exercise their teaching skills and provides the community in general with an exchange of knowledge, lessons and affection. Because of all this, it is considered an important "space for transformation".

The professors of basic, high school, and higher education institutions, specifically in Higher Education, have sometimes considered that Physical Culture, Physical Education, and Physical Activity do not represent a substantial contribution to the integral formation of the student at the levels of knowledge concretion. There is little evidence of the protocols proposed to address or understand the relevance or importance that physical activity can have on the academic performance of Ecuadorian university students. The main objective of this research is to determine the relationship between physical activity to improve academic performance, which is a fundamental part of the student's integral and professional formation. The research is quantitative, with exploratory scope, socially adapted to involve the spheres of knowledge, psychomotor, cognitive, affective and social, through the application of surveys to students and teachers of the UTI, 2014, Quito, it was possible to determine that physical activity influences the academic performance of university students.

Versions of foreign language film titles for the Brazilian market have always sparked heated discussions among critics and film lovers, who regret some choices made based exclusively on the commercial aspect. This paper aims to analyse Brazilian versions of English-language film titles, focusing on the linguistic, cultural and marketing aspects taken into account when choosing the title for a Brazilian audience, as well as discussing the relevance of these versions in relation to their functions as paratexts. Using American cinema classics as paradigms for translation or title version situations and based on literature on Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Textual Genres and Cinema, this study can not only serve as reference material for translators, linguists, critics and film lovers, but also signal to film distributors the need to involve professionals in the areas of Languages and Translation in the process of choosing versions of film titles for the Brazilian market.

This exploratory research project aims to verify the importance of the strategic insertion of the professional Ombudsman in the relationship process between the company and its publics, through a comparative case study of more than one case. Its relevance lies in understanding the relationship process between companies and their publics, analysing its evolution and current configuration. It is a topic that has been little covered and there is a shortage of scientific papers analysing this function as a relationship strategy for companies and their publics, in order to improve customer satisfaction. The analysis of the results shows that when the Ombudsman position is used properly as an interface between the company and its customers, the company can obtain benefits, two of which stand out: customer loyalty and the improvement of organisational processes through the influence of the Ombudsman's work. However, this can only happen if the organisation has the maturity to assimilate an Ombudsman's Office and if it is committed to its internal and external customers.

Analysis of the Defense and Democratic Security Policy (hereinafter referred to as PDSD) from 2002 to 2010, establishing its origin, ideological content and application with respect to public order and peaceful coexistence, specifying the existing correlation and the degree of adequacy with respect to the legal-constitutional elements of the Social State of Law (hereinafter referred to as ESD). Prior to the implementation, validity and continuity of the PDSD, despite the approval of an important sector of the Colombian population, serious doubts arose regarding its character, configuration, effectiveness and the results obtained in terms of human rights protection, generating a debate around extrajudicial executions, forced displacement, forced disappearance, torture, massacres, among others; All of which leads us to question whether the PDSD really corresponds to the ESD model established in the 1991 Political Constitution.

At the time, I decided to take the entrance exam to a college, which I was successful at, but because I hadn't finished school yet, I ended up not enrolling at the college. Some time later, when the Tourism programme was created at the Federal University of Sergipe, I decided to take the entrance exam once again and was successful. During my time at university, I was able to experience unforgettable moments of great learning, achievements, fun and experiences that contributed to my development not only as a professional but also as a human being. In this book, I'll tell you a little about the process of working in the events sector within a hotel, and how it relates to the client, whom I'll treat as a consumer.

The idea of writing this book came from the threefold observation that, firstly, some people wrongly claim that the various computerized project tools have come to replace traditional project knowledge.Secondly, individuals and organizations alike have ideas, but often find it difficult to formulate them clearly and put them into practice. Thirdly, some people remain confused as to what comes before Project and Planning, as in the story of the chicken and the egg. Yet a project is both a process and a realization.Justifying a project idea, defining precise and limited objectives, proposing activities adapted to the objectives and context, planning the time and budget needed to carry them out - these are all decisive steps in the initiation and implementation of a project, which deserve to be explained in a simple and accessible way. This book is sure to remedy some of the shortcomings observed in our society, as well as dispelling misunderstandings and grey areas in people's heads.

Cash management is both a method and a theory.-As a method, it aims to manage liquid assets in companies and public bodies, whether in cash or in bank.- As a theory, it aims to explain the contours of short-term financial management. The aim of this book is to provide you with the essential Cash Management tools you need to tackle Modern Finance with confidence. No special financial background is required to understand this book. It is both a modest and interesting work.Modest because we have borrowed most of the ideas developed from a body of knowledge common to financiers. Interesting because the book acts as an intermediary between this body of knowledge and the reader. Its clear presentation, peppered with diagrams and tables, makes it easy to learn and assimilate the broad outlines of the subject. The book is divided into two (2) parts: Gestion de Trésorerie de l'Entreprise (F. Privée) and Gestion de Trésorerie des organismes publics (Finances Publiques). All these parts are covered in 17 chapters, making this document a reference in the field.

Referring individuals to the intensive care unit aims to provide the most modern technological resources to maintain life, but this is not enough to eliminate the suffering and anguish of patients and their families. Palliative care patients in intensive care units are fraught with conflict, especially when intensive care professionals are faced with the process of death, which requires decisions related to therapeutic limits. Withdrawal from mechanical ventilation is one of the most difficult decisions to make in the intensive care unit, making it necessary for health professionals to provide individualised attention to the patient in order to better choose the therapeutic approach. Non-invasive ventilation is the resource most commonly used to minimise dyspnoea symptoms in patients in the terminal phase of life, thus reflecting comfort, reducing the length of hospital stay and improving the quality of death.

This research work analyzes the health risks associated with the degradation of the urban environment in M'Batto. Archival sources, bibliographical research, oral and electronic sources were chosen to carry out this study. They revealed the disproportionate and disorderly spatial expansion, demographic growth driven by dynamic economic activities, solid and liquid waste, anarchic occupation of urban spaces, nuisances associated with incivism and the lack of eco-citizen behavior on the part of a fringe of the population, all of which degrade the urban environment. Indeed, despite Decree No. 2005-267 of July 21, 2005 of Law No. 2003-308 of July 7, 2003, concerning the transfer and distribution of powers from the State to local authorities and conferring on the commune powers in the field of environmental protection, the spatial markers of environmental degradation remain at city level.

Currently, the low birth weight rate is considered as a general health indicator, since the conditions of any individual at birth have an impact on their physical and intellectual development, which is why it should be a priority to seek optimal conditions for the newborn; this can only be achieved by ensuring adequate health conditions for women, from the preconception period. This book aims to characterize some of the risk factors of low birth weight, through an observational, descriptive and transversal study in the San Juan Y Martínez municipality of Pinar del Rio Province. Cuba. The universe was taken as the total number of pregnant women who contributed 242 births during the period and the sample was represented by the 23 pregnant women who contributed the same number of low birth weight newborns. An exhaustive documentary review of the clinical histories of the pregnant women was carried out, taking the data in correspondence with the variables to be studied that would give an output to the objectives of the research. Recommendations are made that may contribute to reduce the incidence of low birth weight.

The present research work has as its object of analysis three stories by the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis (1839-1908), which will be approached through narratology; specifically through the analysis of the narrator proposed by Renato Prada Oropeza and the construction of the character of Carmen Bustillo, since these narratological elements are relevant in the structure of each story. The Special Degree Project will be divided into four chapters: the first one will present the historical context concerning slavery and information about the author, the second one comprises the theoretical framework, the third chapter presents the methodological framework and finally, the fourth chapter contains the narratological analysis of the chosen corpus. From the study carried out, it was possible to unveil the author's very particular vision of the world, his way of perceiving and interpreting the Brazilian society of his time, which allows us to discover an enormous load of criticism and social denunciation concerning the subject of slavery in nineteenth-century Brazil.

The trade and financial performance of the Colombian livestock sector after the Colombia-Venezuela bilateral crisis between 2009 and 2013 is evaluated. A mixed methodology is used, which contextualizes the situation of the sector through a statistical analysis of the variables exports, imports, trade balance and GDP of the Colombian livestock sector. Likewise, based on an analysis matrix, the financial and commercial effects of the legislation enacted by the Colombian government to promote a better performance of the sector in the country's economy are identified. Finally, a theoretical application of the Balassa-Samuelson model is made in order to determine the country's productivity in the period covered by the research. The results show that the effect caused by the bilateral crisis on the Colombian livestock sector affected its commercial and financial performance, due to the sector's strong commercial dependence on Venezuela.

National dairy farming is based on properties that have been passed down from generation to generation and are being managed with increasing difficulty; they are located on large areas where pasture management is almost non-existent and animal productivity is far below what is needed to make the expected profit. This change in reality usually involves adopting technologies such as soil correction, pasture fertilisation and irrigation, reducing and intensifying pasture areas and strategic fertilisation during the rainy season, adopting rotational pasture management, genetic improvement of the herd and, in some situations, changing the forage species. Although changing forage species isn't always an economically viable alternative, it must be considered that by reducing and intensifying grazing areas, the possibility of introducing new cultivars can be the differential needed to increase milk production. Here we look at the Tanzania-1 cultivar (Panicum maximum) as a forage alternative to increase animal production.
