In 2001 I made a first interpretation of Whorf's theory in the book Benjamin Lee Whorf y el proceso de intelección, Universidad de Almería. The book that I now present wants to go back to what I studied in 2001 and wants to enrich this study on Whorf by relating Whorf's theory to philosophy and to the linguistics of the twentieth century, the linguistics of linguistic competence. In Whorf's work, which is composed of eighteen studies published in different journals, we can establish a before and an after in 1941: before 1941 Whorf was an anthropologist who studied exotic languages, and since 1941 Whorf presents himself as a philosopher of language. Whorf's discovery of philosophy was gradual. Whorf's philosophy came indirectly from the hand of the theosophist doctrine, a doctrine that came to put into practice Kant's transcendental philosophy: a priori knowledge, a method of study of knowledge that has its justification in its own concept, is prior to experience because it is only the fruit of reason. A priori knowledge is opposed to a posteriori knowledge, knowledge that comes after experience.

"The English language is currently the most widespread and learned foreign language in the world". Pizarro (2015 cited by Chávez, et. al. 2017, p. 10).

In the development of the recovery of the Rio Grande de la Magdalena (Magdalena River) within the sections of the port of Barranquilla to Barrancabermeja, it has been evidenced that it has gone through different problems in the process of contracting the project called Public Private Partnership (PPP), due to various irregularities with the contractor, taking into account the mismanagement of resources, purchase of irregular material which has led to a deterioration in the ports and dredging of the Magdalena River, generating a decrease in the transport of cargo by river mode. The main objective of the book is to identify the development of the Magdalena River and the means of cargo transport within the sections of the port of Barranquilla and Barrancabermeja supporting the research with bibliographic sources, mainly taken from the internet, using articles, institutional documents and documents of state entities (Cormagdalena and Ministry of Transport) within the years 2012 to 2019 and thus know the shortcomings that have occurred with the project that the government has launched, it is expected to start the new contract in 2020.

This work is a synthesis of the results of research and experimental work, many of which were carried out with the participation of university students from the Universidad Nacional Agraria de la Selva and agricultural producers, extension work and technical dissemination of production systems and control of soil degradation processes, The Caña Brava Project in Peru was born in 2001, based on Gaia's original hypothesis, seeking the self-regulation and dynamic equilibrium of the mega-biodiversity but on the scale of the Amazon river basin, the largest on the planet. The main provisions and conclusions of this work can serve as a theoretical basis for further natural-scientific, religious and philosophical study of the definition of spiritual evolution of a particular person in different systems of coordinates as a synthesis of cognitive thinking: scientific, mythological, religious, intuitive, as well as for practical use by philosophers, psychologists, clergymen, journalists.

This book is the result of a study that sought to investigate the perception of the elderly in relation to the themes of ageing. The research took place in two stages. The first was the search for conceptualisations and theoretical references that could provide support for theorising, and the second was field research in which interviews were carried out with 21 subjects. The theme dealt with here took into account the meanings and subjectivity of themes associated with gerontology and its anthropological dimension.

This book analyses the legal situation of prisoners who are deprived of their liberty beyond the period stipulated in the criminal sentence. The right to liberty must prevail, since this guarantee should be deprived when there is a violation of a legally imposed penal rule. The sentence, which can be carried out through imprisonment, is stipulated in a conviction. From this point of view, overstaying the sentence in prison can be considered illegal imprisonment. This means that extrapolated imprisonment is included in the list of unlawful imprisonment, considering that the convict's stay in prison can cause irreparable damage, and the state must observe and compensate for this omission in the application of the sentence imposed.

Using available industrial water for cooling and reducing energy losses due to fouling problems by using quality water for cooling air compressors in a power plant with cooling exchangers, minimising energy cost increases and improving compressor efficiency. The second application deals with combustion processes for an altitude of 3800 m.a.s.l., in which the residual oil N°6, requires to be preheated for better atomisation and efficient combustion, resulting in an economical operation; and that due to the effect of altitude, the volume or flow of supply air for combustion is affected. It is important that the flue gas outlet temperature is on average 365°C, to avoid that at 150°C the acid dew point of flue gases with sulphur content appears, causing corrosion damage by condensation of SO2.

Aubenque, in analysing Kant's critique of the Cartesian notion of the substantial subject, asks the following question: "Indeed, why suppose a substance behind the attributes, if the substance is nothing other than the essence, that is, the unity of the essential attributes or, as Descartes says, the act that reveals the essence?" He asks why a real substratum is needed to give the attributes their foundation, since these are the very "act that reveals the essence". For Kant, this question represents a fundamental position in his philosophy, in that he wants to free the subject from a precise ontological determination. This ontological liberation is expressed by Kant when he comments on the place of the judgement "I think" at the beginning of his critique of the substantiality of the "thinking I", and indicates this concept as: "present in all thought and independent of all experience", in other words, a mere logical (and not ontological) condition. This leads to a new position on the subject that we can consider. Examining this turn in favour of a non-ontology operated by the letter of the Kantian text is a condition for understanding how subjectivity emerges in his philosophy.

The aim of this work is to analyse reverse logistics in a logistics company in Montes Claros-MG between 2013 and 2014. Methodologically, the work involved bibliographical, documentary and descriptive research. In the bibliographical section, the aim was to present the definitions, emergence, evolution and types in Brazil, as well as a descriptive analysis, with a case study of a company in the sector. In the documentary section, the company's documents were used to report on the company's history, mission and structure, as well as sales volume and reverse logistics data from August 2013 to August 2014. However, the research revealed the country's need to adapt to a transport system that integrates different modes, is efficient and compatible with the size and volume of the country and meets the country's economic diversity. The current logistics infrastructure is not compatible with demand, which requires greater investment to make it more competitive.

The monograph by Hungarian economist György Szymon Jr. analyzes the main processes of Russia's post-war development, during which it had to pass from the Soviet mobilization economy to the post-Soviet market economy. The theoretical framework of his study includes, in addition to the works of the classics of Marxism-Leninism, the key postulates of neoclassical and endogenous theories of economic growth. Econometric analysis was conducted primarily using a general, or world model, constructed with the reliance on statistical data from 131 countries, including the former USSR. This endogenous Caldorov-type model takes into account not only physical and human capital, but also time as an event space of creative economic activity. It allowed the author to establish that in the period after 1950 the total factor efficiency of the Russian economy did not deviate significantly from the world level, its development generally corresponded to international standards. The monograph pays special attention to the economic problems of post-Soviet Russia and its role in the processes of integration within the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The child is understood here as an active subject and producer of culture, and the school as a frontier space, that is, a space of transit, of hybridity, of exchange and articulation of knowledge that is re-signified by the indigenous people. Methodologically, the data was constructed through ethnography, establishing a dialogue with the most recent Brazilian academic discussions on ethnological/ethnographic studies of indigenous societies and the Anthropology of the Child through authors such as Antonella Tassinari (2001), Clarice Cohn (2005), Aracy Lopes da Silva (2002), Toren (2006, 2011, 2015), among others. This study aims to identify the elements that make up the teaching-learning process among children and to understand the meanings attributed to going to school, a place where new forms of knowledge construction take place.

The main objective of this work is to carry out a formal analysis of the work Tres piezas montañeras pa ¿ clarinete solo by the Colombian composer Jaime Jaramillo Arias. The aim is to carry out a detailed review of compositional aspects at the melodic, rhythmic and harmonic level, if any, and their relationship with the techniques and interpretative elements in order to provide sufficient tools for a deep understanding when approaching the three pieces that make up this work. On the other hand, the score has been re-edited, adding indications of character, tempo, dynamics and articulation. This revision of the score has been done in conjunction with the composer, so that one of the contributions of the work will be to present the final edition of the score in accordance with the aforementioned contributions.

This paper entitled "Writing to argue: an initial work of the student of the degree in education", is a first set of research conducted throughout the professional preparation; presented at various conferences as part of papers in various educational institutions. The main objective of this research is to analyze, from the point of view of narratology, three short stories: "The Peace of Utrecht", "Meneseteung" and "Fiction", present, respectively, in the collections Dance of the Happy Shades (1968), Friend of my Youth (1991) and Too Much Happiness (2009), by the contemporary Canadian writer Alice Munro, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2013, whose freshly written short stories are characterized by open-ended endings, contain realistic descriptions of southwestern Ontario, and portray familiar scenes that facilitate the introduction of the strange, the mysterious, the unknown and even the fantastic. This union of the familiar and the strange creates a sense of irony and double observation in relation to places and people, allowing us to explore the Canadian struggle with identity that is evident in the writer.

This study refers to the legal and political propositions of Labour as a strategy for Mental Health Care in Brazil. We map the composition of forces of this articulation in psychiatric legislation and mental health policies. We problematise the concepts of work that feed the discourse present in the documents, as well as the meanings that emerge from these productions. In our discussions, we pointed out that labour as a modality of care in nursing homes did not emerge from the universe of psychiatry, but from capitalism. Initially associated with measures to occupy the empty minds of the unfit, it later became an instrument of discipline and social normalisation. With the Psychiatric Reform, Mental Health Work activities are reinvented as spaces that enable access to life in society and citizenship for people suffering from mental illness. In questioning what makes the issue of madness in conjunction with labour and work the target of public policies, it becomes clear that political production acts on the basis of particular and historically constituted rationalities, which are never universal.

The text describes the results of a quasi-experimental study carried out during two years at the Policlínico Manicaragua to determine the level of knowledge of the nursing staff before and after receiving training related to the care of terminal oncology patients. Competence and professional performance needs were detected in the care of terminal oncology patients before the intervention, and subsequently, most of them improved their performance.

In order to carry out this work, it was necessary to divide it into three chapters. The first chapter mentions life as a protected legal good, demonstrating how life was seen by the philosophers Paul Michel Foucault and Hannah Arendt, as well as the inviolability of the right to life provided for in the Federal Constitution, crimes against life and crimes against property. The second chapter deals with the Jury Court, as well as its origins and historical evolution, constitutional provisions, constitutional procedural principles and crimes tried by the Jury Court. Finally, the last chapter demonstrates why the crime of robbery does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Jury Court. It should be noted that the national legislator preferred to include the crime of robbery in the crimes against property, since the offence against life is a means of violating the victim's right to property. In fact, what the legislator meant was that it is a complex crime aggravated by the result, even though the greatest legal asset under protection (life) was taken with the intention of making a profit.

During a stroke, damage to the upper limb places severe demands on the prehension function.Objective: To assess the level of grip recovery in vascular hemiplegics and associated factors in patients followed in Côte d'Ivoire.Materials and methods: Prospective study conducted in the physical medicine and rehabilitation department of the Yopougon University Hospital in Abidjan. All patients with an upper limb motor deficit following a 1st stroke were included in the study. Patients were assessed using the Enjalbert functional scale, first on admission and then at 3 months.Results: Thirty patients were present at three months' follow-up. On admission, 86.67% of patients had an Enjalbert score of 0. At 3 months post admission, almost 40% had almost completely recovered prehension. Associated factors were young age, hemiparesis, Enjalbert score greater than or equal to 1, absence of algodystrophy on admission and regularity of rehabilitation. With multivariate logistic regression, rehabilitation was the only determinant
