Public Financing of Public Service Broadcasting and its Qualification as State Aid

Aids for public service broadcasting (PSB), namely radio and television licence fees, have to comply with European State aid law. The book sheds light on the demands of Art. 107(1) TFEU and the Amsterdam Protocol. The author focuses on the Altmark Trans-ruling, which established compensation criteria for services of general economic interest (SGEI).
